Part 26 - full dress rehearsals

I put my white dress in a hanger bag and grabbed my phone and wallet and walked to the car, I opened the boot and hung my dress up and got into the back.
"Morning mom" I saw yawning,
"Morning Leia, last rehearsals today!" My mom said,
"Yep with all the stupid lighting and whatnot" I responded, my phone buzzed and I opened the text message, it's was from Callum,

Callum:
Listen Leia I'm really sorry I don't want to ruin what we have no please Leia,

Me:
Get away from me, why would you, I trusted you for all these years!

Callum:
I know I know, just please let me explain to you

Me:
No, stop Callum. Whatever we had is gone ok, until I find the heart to forgive you then I'll come back, for now...... Bye Callum

I switched off my phone and sighed, was this really the right decision? Pushing away my childhood friend? I was to busy dreaming that I didn't noticed the car stopped,
"Come on Leia, let's go!" My mom shouted,
"I'll see you later after rehearsals" I said, I walked in and saw Chris talking to the stage manager, everyone else was surrounding them and chatting excitedly,
"Hey guys" I shouted, everyone went quiet until Alexa spoke up,
"Hi Leia!" Alexa said laughing,
"Alright finalist please sit down" the stage manger called out,
"Today everyone will be doing full dress rehearsals and we will be doing the lighting as well" he called out,
"All of you guys will be able to watch, please be quiet while your fellow friend is performing" he reminded,
"Now here's the running order, Madisyn, Grace, Alexa, Bella, Chris, Leia" he said,
"Damn it why am I last?" I muttered,
"Anyways Madisyn please go backstage and get dressed and come back on stage once away" the stage manager said, the remaining 5 of us sat next to each other in a row,
"So now I get to see what your singing" Chris said to me,
"And I get to see what your singing" I said, Madisyn came out in a stunning black dress with a black cape,
"Why do girls have to dress up? I'm only wearing a jacket over my normal clothes" Chris said,
"It's a show! You have to look nice on stage!" I exclaimed,
"But-"
"SHH she's starting" I said interrupting Chris, Madisyn came out onto the stage wearing a black dress with with a black cape, matched with black gloves,
"Woah" I said to myself, within each run down the stage felt more alive, it was currently Alexas turn, and she had to be lifted onto this swing thing that descended into the air,
"Oh my god isn't she scared?" I whispered,
"She looks like she's having fun" Chris chuckled, after Alexa, Bella came on stage, she was wearing an amazing white dress, when she sang they would project snowflakes onto the dress,
"How outrages can this get?" Chris mumbled,
"Go away, she looks amazing and so does the affects" I complemented, Chris stood up and went backstage to prepare for his rehearsals, he sat on the box in the middle of the stage and he sat there waiting for the music queue,
"Chris! Did you forget the camera queue?!" The stage manager called out,
"Oh right, woopsie" Chris laughed,
"Do I have to do it now, there's no use if it's not on" Chris shouted back,
"Alright it doesn't matter you can start" the stage manger called out, he started to strum the first few notes on the guitar,

"I was scared of dentists and the dark"

"I knew he would sing this!" I whispered to Madisyn, we watched as he played the guitar and sang to riptide, halfway through the song he had to sling his guitar back so he could walk,

"I swear she's destined for the screen, Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you've ever seen, oh"

At the exact moment he attempted to take the the microphone off the stand, he slipped, thank god he didn't fall, everyone laughed and his face turned red

"Lady running down to the riptide, taken away to the dark side"

I laughed and walked backstage to get changed. I took my clothes off and slipped on my white dress.

"I got a lump in my throat cause your gonna sing the words wrong!"

I heard Chris finish and I pressed the button behind my back so the mini Angel wings came up, I walked on stage and passed Chris,
"Looking nice" he winked before walking off, I stood on the block as the song started to play, I gripped the microphone stand and sung,

"Like a small boat on the ocean"

The song was over quick, and soon everyone was clapping, I took a little curtsy and walked back to change. I walked back out and sat back in my seat,
"Well done everyone, these all look amazing!" Delta shouted,
"We will see you tomorrow at 9 sharp" Mel B said, I packed up all my things, my phone was ringing again, the caller ID said : mom
"Mom?" I said through the phone,
"Listen honey there's no time to talk I'm in the hospital right now" my mom said quickly,
"What are you doing there?" I asked confused,
"Doesn't matter, I've gotten Ingrid to drop you off there for me" she said,
"Wait what's happened?" I shouted,
"Can't talk I have to go" my mom said,
"Can you at least tell me who it is?!" I shouted, I heard whispering from the other side of the phone, I heard my mom gulp before speaking,
"It's Callum, he attempted suicide" my mom whispered.
