Chapter 33 - showtime

We all met outside the changing rooms, Ethan caught my eye and smirked at me I rolled my eyes at him and continued walking.
"Right all grand finalist we need you on the stage for interviews, the voice kids please stay backstage" a stage manager called splitting the group, we were guided up to the stage where a bench and a huge camera awaited.
"Now all you guys have to do is anwser these questions" the stage manager said to us and he pulled us over,
"Ah Leia, may you go first please?" he asked me,
"Oh yeah sure" I muttered sitting down on the chair and facing the camera,
"Ok great, now just answer all the questions as honestly as you can" the director said to me, I nodded and the camera began rolling,
"So how did you feel  in your first audition?" He asked behind camera,
"Honestly it was terrifying, I mean performing in front of serval of the most famous singers in the world was scary, I could either make it or break it" I replied,
"Did you ever think you were going to get as far as the grand finale?" The director asked,
"To be honest no, I mean I've always dreamt of going on the voice kids by never would I thought I'd make it to the grand finals" I said,
"What are your thoughts of winning?" He asked?
"It's a dream come true to win, I'm already very grateful that I've come so far" I replied,
"Now we all know something tragic happened recently do you mind taking about it?" The director asked, I pressed my lips together and looked at Chris he nodded and I opened my mouth to speak,
"Um one of my best friends named Callum passed away after a suicide attempt" I said tears forming in my eyes,
"And I miss him a lot, but all the support that everyone has been giving me for these past few weeks have really help me pushed through this" I said looking directly at the camera,
"Thanks you for sharing, now anything else you want to say?" The director asked,
"The song I'm singing tonight is dedicated to Callum and I hope he hears me" I said as the director nodded,
"Cut!" He shouted ,
"Well done Leia, take a break while we do the the rest of the group" he said pulling a chair aside and watched as the next person went up to to their interview.

I watched as Alexa finished her interview,
"Cut! Everyone please get ready to go on the red carpet please" he said leading us to the back door. Everyone else was already there,
"Now for the start just say hi and stuff, when you get to the red line, the music will start and you guys all have to sing your line" he said,m
"Everyone are we ready?!" He shouted, we all cheered and he opened the backdoors as we poured out of the auditorium, there was a long red carpet and fencing all around, there were flashing cameras, screaming kids. Us six finalist took the lead and we all posed for the camera, we all split off to do interviews while I sticked with Chris.
"Chris may we have a photo of you?!" A reporter shouted,  l stepped out of the frame and waited patiently for him,
"Leia come in!" The reported said, Chris smiled and pulled me into the frame, he put an arm around my waist as camera flashes went and basically blinded my eyes.
"Right! Can we start the filming please?!" The director shouted into a megaphone,
"Now judges we need you to follow the cameraman down the aisle please" he shouted, all the judges lined up and started to walked down,
"And action!" The music started to play as they walked down the carpet giving everyone occasional high fives.
"Perfect may we have team Mel B up first? And can we have team follow behind them?" He asked,
"When you finish please wait at the side! As we have one more scene to film" he said,
Me and Madisyn lined up and at the line while a bunch of kids came behind us,
"And action!"
"Here come bad news talking this and that" we sang,
"CUT! Please wait at the side till the end shot, can we have team madden please?" He shouted through the megaphone.

"Is everyone's ear piece in? Anybody need adjustments?" A woman shouted running across the room, it was a hectic scene, everyone was getting ready for the final song and all the kids were running around, I was currently spraying myself with setting spray before the show,
"Hey Leia can I borrow?" Grace asked from the other side of the room,
"Yeah sure, catch!" I shouted throwing the bottle at her. I could hear the music playing and I knew the preview has started,
"Right grand finalist, I need you guys backstage now!" The woman said guiding me and Grace towards the door,
"Right places everyone!" A man whispered as he ran across the curtain, the huge double doors in front of us and I could hear the kids laughing, we all got into a line and was each handed a microphone, I felt a hand against mine I intwine my fingers and looked up,
"Nervous?" He said chucking,
"Really nervous" I replied, he laughed and squeezed my hand,
"That was the first thing you ever said to me, remember?" He said raising an eyebrow,
"Of course" I fixed my ear piece and smiled at him, he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek as the double doors opened, the light shined on us as we walked forwards.
It's showtime.
