As the book gets more popular I want it to be clear that this book is greatly influenced by one of my favorite shows: Gossip Girl.
There are direct quotes from the show and I'm pretty sure I've made it clear which quotes those are. The "virginity pact" plot line is completely mine and so is the majority of the story but subplots (not all of them) like cotillion, ivy week, and the dean party are influenced by the show, as are the personalities of the characters.
I just don't want anyone to think I'm copying GG verbatim or not giving credit where it's due. If you watch the show you can defs see the similarities and differences.
