James' pov

I whirled around and saw Sting standing there with his arms crossed and his face in a frown.

"S-Sting! H-How long have you b-been there?" I stammered nervously.

"I was looking for you James. What were you two talking about?" He asked.

"U-Um... We uh...." I stammered. Rufus placed a hand on my shoulder.

"You need to tell him James. He has a right to know." Rufus said softly. I looked down at my feet. I could feel Sting staring at me.

"Tell me what?" He asked. I squeezed my eyes shut. I balled my fists.

"I.... R-Rogue.... He.... He's my... my father...." I said softly. Sting's eyes widened.

"Wha... What?" He said.

"H-He's my father!" I said. More loudly this time. Tears were threatening to fall. I felt Rufus squeezed my shoulder tightly.

"Sting... There's more... Do you remember the party a few weeks before Rogue's disappearance?" Rufus asked. Sting nodded slowly.

"Well.... According to James... It seems that.... You are James' father." Rufus said quietly. Sting stared in shock.

"W-What?! B-But.... I-It's not p-possible for m-men to get pregnant! R-Right?" He stuttered.

"James said that Rogue explained that it had something to do with Dragon Slayer's magic..." Rufus replied. Sting was quiet for awhile. I stared at him. I could see the anger in his eyes. I began to shake slightly. No... What have I done? Sting hates dad now! Tears started leaking through.

In a matter of minutes, I was sobbing. I covered my head with my hands. I was horrified. I ruined everything! Dad and father will never get together now!

"James. Where is Rogue now?" Sting asked, his voice deadly quiet. Instead of answering, I shook my head 'No'.

"James... You can tell Sting. I promise he won't hurt your dad." Rufus said. I bit my lip.

"O-Only if S-Sting promises n-not to h-hurt h-him...." I stammered.

"I promise." Sting said quietly. I sniffled and wiped my eyes on my sleeve.

"He's b-back h-home... I-In Shizuku...." I said. Without another word, Sting walked away towards a the train station. Me and Rufus stared after him.

"W-Will h-he hurt daddy?" I stammered, not caring if I sounded like a toddler. Rufus gave me a reassuring smile before staring back at the direction that Sting had marched in.

Sting's pov

I walked angrily towards the train station. I was mad. Why didn't he tell me!? Why!?! I thought angrily. I payed for a ticket to Shizuku. I was so lost in thought, trying to process what I'd been told, that I didn't even pay attention to my motion sickness. I barely even noticed it.

Why wouldn't he tell me? 12 years, 12 freaking years! I missed twelve years of my, our, child's life! I put my head in my hands. I wasn't mad anymore. I just wanted answers.

Rogue's pov

I was sitting on my couch. I had accepted a job from one of the villagers to weave a basket or two. They needed them for farming to put all the crops in them. I sighed. I couldn't help but wonder how James was doing. I had a strong suspicion that he had joined Sabertooth.

It made sense. Sting, his father, should still be there. I doubt he'd leave the guild. Especially since he was the guild master. I rubbed my eyes tiredly. I had stayed up pretty later last night, after I had a bad nightmare. I never told Jame about my... condition. I leaned back in my seat and let out a groan. I closed my eyes and rested my tired muscles.

Suddenly, I heard the doorbell ring. I frowned and stood up.

Who could be at the door? I thought. I walked over to it and opened it. My eyes widened when I saw who was on the other side.

"S-Sting?!"
