I used to walk through the halls seeking you.
Always wondering if you wanted to see me too?
I knew you never did,
I was just some dumb kid.
Always watching, and waiting.
I just wanted you to say something!
Anything!
Why couldn't you see me?
Or maybe you did see,
but you didn't like what you saw.
This knowledge leaves me open and raw.
All I wanted was for you to notice me.
Just once, I wanted you to see
all that we would, and could be.
Alas! you never gave me the time of day.
I wish I had something, anything I could say,
to change your mind.
To rewind time.
Just so you would notice me.
