Heart of War

How does it feel, when emotions are high and your brain starts to reel? It's a war you see between your heart and mind, throwing emotions everywhere, none of the caring kind. When the tides of love are high, but the boughs of knowledge sigh, when everything feels like a maelstrom of entropy. These feelings leave you wanting a round of therapy. War cares not who it kills, even if it's inside your own walls. The cries that only you can hear echo through the dark cryptic halls. Your heart keeps beating, your mind keeps churning. always for love, always for learning. Neither gains a steady hold, on what once you could call your soul. You beg for an end of the war, but that would be your own dissolution, for if the war stops it would be a useless union. A heart without love, a mind without knowledge, neither can win, or the other would lose. This war is a fragile balance, for if one tips the scales, it will be your soul that sits and wails. Love and knowledge, go hand in hand. Fighting until the end.
