"Famous Author, (username), doesn't believe in love?"

"Eh?! Your name is on the paper again, (Nickname)!" Your roommate, Enjellia said.

You heavily sighed as she put down her pen down to face her roommate.

"Let me see that." You calmly said as you took the newspaper from her.

"Page 8. The article's on page 8." Enjellia said as you flipped the newspaper to the said page.

As she read the article, she sighed as she gave it back to Enjellia.

"Why are you on the paper? And wait, you don't believe in love? So much for specializing romance as her genre, huh?" She said as she sat on the sofa.

"And how did they know? Did you do an interview?" She asked as you nodded in disappointment.

"And you didn't tell me? Bummer. Tell me now!" She said as you tried to remember the questions.

"Oh wait, did you show your face now?!" She asked.

"Of course not, we did the interview behind a black curtain so they didn't get a look or even a glimpse at me." You said as you remembered the interview.

"Well, tell me what happened!"

[Flashback]

"We're so glad that you finally accepted to do an interview! Even though you haven't shown us your face, we're glad that you accepted it." The journalist said as she stared into a big black curtain with you on the other side.

"Yeah. So what do you want to know?" You said as you sighed.

"We wanted to know what inspired you to write 'Blooming Love in Autumn ' does this book affected you in any way or did one tragic moment triggered you to write such a lovely tear jerking love story?" She asked you.

"I have nothing in particular. I did not have any tragic occurrence or something that affected me in any way. I just believe that, love couldn't last. Everything will leave you in the end. You're not sure when someone will leave you . In the end, we all know that nothing last forever, so why would love last? Look , in this day and age, nothing is permanent. Food expires, plants die, and of course, love fades away." You mouthed as you heard the journalist cough from the other side.

"Ms. (Username)?" The journalist called out your name.

"Yes?"

"What is love?" She suddenly blurted out.

You sighed. 'This question again.' You mentally said.

"Can you please repeat that?" You asked

"What is love?"

"Do you expect me to say that love is blind, or something like, love is loving someone despite his or her imperfections?" You bluntly said

"Let me just tell you that , no."

"I don't believe in love." You said as you crossed your legs.

"Why?" The journalist asked.

"Experience. " you answered.

'How could I? After he left me, after he said he'll be there for me.' You thought.
