"thank you for walking me home, kenma." (first name) said as she smiled brightly.

"do you want to come play again tomorrow?" i asked her .

"will you fetch me?" she playfully asked.

"my house is barely 6 minutes from yours." i said as she laughed.

"sure, i'll play with you." she said as she tiptoed to kiss my cheek.

my face felt hot as i saw her laugh. "wow you're as red as your jacket." 

i couldn't utter a word. but i sure know i was happy. "see you tomorrow, kenma." she said as she turned her back.

she was pretty.

before she walked away i grabbed her hand, "i'll fetch you tomorrow."

"please wait for me." i said once more.

"i will always wait for you."

as soon as i got home, my mom asked about (first name). it was pretty uneasy that she recognized her but i didn't.

"did she get home safe?" my mom asked.

"she did."

"how's her mom?"

"her new mom is okay." i told her as my mom stared at me, "new mom?"

"do you remember the accident before..?" i awkwardly asked her as she hummed yes towards my question.

"she forgot a lot of things. i didn't even  recognize her when we first met in our neighborhood."

"she has a new family now."

"they're nice." i explained as she said, "does she remember you?"

"she doesn't need to." i calmly say.

"she said i felt like home."

"just like what she said to me before when we were younger."

"that's all that matters."
