Hermes Novum, Greek God of theives, merchants and oratory lands up in the human world.
The human world in this story is set many years into the future; nearly centuries after World War VI where the continents are named as Alpha, Beta, Gamma.... Eta due to the rise of Grecian power. Here, Alpha and Beta are used for government and administrative purposes and are two of the richest continents.
Hermes lands on Eta, the poorest of continents and is at loss on how to find his way back to Olympus.
Fortunately or unfortunately he is taken under the wing of the Eta Sheriff's daughter, Asta, after being caught for violating one of the rules. Although Asta depicts questionable behavior when she forcibly makes Hermes consume unnamed pills for his anxiety attack for him to 'become normal' and is seen to be withdrawn and hesitant to socially interact, she promises to take him back home.
When the God questions her on how she was going to achieve that when she has never seen Olympus before, Asta casually says that 'people say she is good with directions'.
