I'm chillen in the house with Broderick and Albee watching tv ... lately I've been throwing myself into my work to keep busy so I won't think about Her .. Too bad it doesn't really help . I haven't seen or heard from Cyn in 3 weeks. I called and text but still no response. I even stopped by at one of her events to try and talk but she wasn't having it . I really don't know what else to do .
"Maybe you should stop by her house and try to talk to her" says Broderick
Since Cyn has been gone I've been spending more time with Al and Broderick. I got a chance to get to know him a little better.
"That would be a good idea if I knew where she lived" I say
I still don't know where she lives but I'm definitely gonna find out ..
"Maybe she will reach out when she's ready to talk" Broderick says
"Babe you don't know Erica and Cyn the way I know them . They always play this cat and mouse game where one has to chase the other ... But it always seems to be Erica that does most of the chasing" says Al
"Al shut up" I say
"I'm just sayin" he says
"I feel like I tried everything and nothing is working" I say
Why can't she just come back and we make this work
"You can't force her into forgiving you E . You gotta let her do it when she's ready" says Al
"It's been weeks .. how much time could she possibly need? It's not like I cheated on her ...."
"Well technically you ....." Al starts but stops when I give him a look
"Okay .. why don't you find out where she's gonna be tonight and just stop by and see what's up" says Broderick
"Then she'll think I'm stalking her" I say
Al laughs "Don't act like you never did it before"
"Whatever. I think I'm gonna just let her do her for now" I say
Al shakes his head "Yeah let her do her and soon enough she'll be doing somebody else."
"You know what ..." I start
"I think what Al is trying to say is you gotta show her that your still fighting for her . Don't let her slip away E ." Says Broderick
I definitely won't let that happen .. not again.
"Maybe I should try and call her" I say
"Yeah just see if she will pick up" says Broderick
I grab my phone and go through my contacts until I reach Cyn's number
"She probably won't answer" I say
I'm so damn nervous .. what if she does answer?
I press the call button and the phone starts to ring ... and ring ... and ring .... and
"Hello"
Oh shit ..
"Hey Cyn .. what's up?"
I get up and walk away from Al and Broderick
"Just getting ready to head out in a bit .. why are you calling Erica?"
..... well okay
"Cyn I really just wanna talk to you .. do you think we can meet up sometime this week?"
She takes a long pause and then says "I can come see you tonight if that's fine with you"
That just shocked the hell outta me ..
"Yeah that would be great Cyn ."
"I'll be there in an hour"
"Okay I'll see you then"
She hangs up
"She'll be here in an hour" I say to Al and Broderick as I walk back over to them
"Good . It's about time y'all talk" says Al
"I hope things work out E"
"Thank you but y'all gotta go"
"You better call and tell me everything ." Says Al as he stands to leave
I walk them to the door
"I'll call you when she leaves" I say
"If she leaves" says Broderick with a wink
I laugh "Goodbye"
I shut the door and I go freshen up a little and clean up around the house a bit to waste some time ..
A little while later I hear a knock on the door .
I walk to the door and I take a deep breath before I open it ..
Just relax Erica
I open the door

"I can't stay long because I'm supposed to be meeting a friend." She says
She walks right in the house before giving me a chance to respond and I can't help but admire her
She takes a seat on the couch
"So let's talk" she says
Sooo i know it's short and not the best update but it's something 😂 I'm still trying to figure out where to go with this story . What do you guys want ?? Is it too soon to make up ?
Honestly when Cyn started dating Joe I kinda wanted to end this book because that annoyed the hell out of me .. like wasn't he friends with Erica ??
