CHAPTER 5

Chapter 5:

// Hailey’s POV //

"We're here." He smiles then hit the break.

We stop at the park. He opens the door for me and offers his hand to hold mine.

We walk a little until we found a bench to sit.

"You haven't talked since we're in the car." He says.

"Uh. You didn’t tell me that you're a celebrity." I say, not looking at him.

"I thought you'd know because you're Emily's classmate." He chuckles.

"Well, I don’t know. It is ok that we're here in an open place?"

"Yeah, why? Are you now afraid of me?"

"Uh, no. I just don’t want you getting involved with a loser like me."

"You're not a loser." He holds my chin and moves it up making our face go 3 inch near to each other.

He smirks as my eyes widened and I look away.

"You are different from all the girls I met." He says.

"How?" I look at him.

"I don’t know. You're just different?" He shrugs.

We end up our so called "date" with driving me back home.

"Thanks." I say.

"We should this again." He says, stopping the engine.

"I don’t think so."

"Why?" He pouts.

"We just can't." I say, getting out of his car.

I walk until I reach the door when he stops me.

"I'll call you ok?" He remarks before leaving.

I just ignore it and get in.

"What happen?" Grace asks, sparkles in her eyes.

"Nothing." I throw myself on the couch.

"Nothing?! Hey, how did you know James?" She mocks.

"I told you he's my classmate's brother and we met at school."

"Are you two dating now? Like gi-"

"No." I cut her off by my cold tone.

"What? Why?" She whined.

"I just met him days ago. And plus, he's a celebrity."

"And that's cool."

"No."

"Oh please, Hailey."

"No is no." I stand up and go to my room.

While lying on my bed, my phone rings. I quickly pick it up and it's my boss.

"Could you come in today? Someone is requesting for you."

"Extra-pay?" I greedily say.

"Of course. Could you?"

"Yes." I say then hang up.

// James’ POV //

After sending Hailey back to her home. I received a text from Carlos inviting us to go on his uncle's party tonight. I couldn't decline. It's a party.

I just go home to change outfit then go straight to the club Carlos' texted.

This club is pretty high class.

"James!" Someone yelled my name. I saw Carlos and the guys waving at me.

"Dude!" I go near then and give them high five individually.

"I told you he would never decline." Logan says.

We laugh.

// Hailey’s POV //

I get in the club earlier than my boss though. Haa! I should impress her from what happen the other day.

Glasses off, contact lenses on.

They gave me a long red gown with a slit on it to make it looks sexier.

I put a not that heavy make-up just to look presentable.

I go out the dressing room with my boss as she introduces me to Mr. Pena, he's the birthday celebrator; he's not that old I think he's in his 30's? I don’t know.

I sit beside him while chatting with his friends and family.

"You should go meet out some at your age." He says to me.

I just smile at him.

"Excuse us for a while." He says, holding my hands.

We stand up and drag me with him.

"Carlos!" He yells.

The guy with 2 guys with him looks.

"Uncle Robert." That 'Carlos' says.

"Here's my friend, Gail. Gail, my nephew, Carlos and his friends."

"Hi." I gently smile at them.

"So, I'll leave her with you and talk to my friend. 'Los." He says and walks away.

Wait! Isn't he the one who hired me? Then giving me with his nephew? I totally don’t get rich people sometimes.

"So, hi Gail. Wanna sit with us?" Carlos asks.

"Sure." I say.

I sit beside him and he introduces his friends to me.

"That's Logan and Kendall." He says.

"Hi." Logan and Kendall say in unison.

"Oh, and there's James." He says, pointing on a guy walking near us.

James?!!

My eyes widened and start to panic inside. How could I escape this? What if he recognizes me? Oh god! I'm really freaking out here.
