She's Back

Riley

He walked out of Topanga's, and I sit on the couch. "Maybe, that's it." I don't know what's happening to him, I had known him for eight years, and now I don't. "We should not give up, he is our friend. And friends don't give up easily." If you really love that person, then don't give up. I love Farkle, cause he's my best friend. "Riles, you did all your best to make the old Farkle back. We didn't have to push him if that's his decision. Then we have to respect it." Maya replied.

An hour later...

While I'm doing my homework in Topanga's, Someone walked in and looked at me, "Riley? Riley Matthews?" I heard a voice, and it reminds of... I looked up, and it's Isadora. "Do you still remember me? I'm Isadora Smackle, your 3rd-grade classmate." She said. Oh, she's the smart and geek student. "Of course, I haven't seen you in five years," I answered.

She's really different from the old Smackle. I mean she's still a nerd, but not that nerdy. "Well, we moved to Canada when I was 10." Smackle is also rich, I heard that her dad is a politician. "So, why are you here?" I asked.

"I lived here, in New York." I widened my eyes and got excited. "So you'll be back in school?" I got excited. "Of course, by the way, how's Farkle?" She still has a crush on Farkle. "He's still single. You should date him." I answered... After we talked, we wave our goodbyes.The next day...

Farkle

I woke up at 7:00 am, our class will start at 8:00 am. I have an hour to prepare myself. After what happened last time, my dad got disappointed with me, because of what I did. First I'm always late, second I did cutting classes, third I got failed in my subjects, lastly, I did vandalism in boy's comfort room.

**My phone vibrates**

"Good morning! I have a surprise for you, see you later." -Riley. The only thing that can make me surprised is you and Lucas got to break up. I'm just hoping that that is her surprise.

I went to school and headed to my locker. I'm fixing my books when I heard a familiar voice.

"Hey, I hope you still remember me." I pushed my locker, and my jaw dropped. It's Smackle Isadora, a girl who had a crush on me.

"O--of course, I still remember you." I stutter. She's so different from the old her.

"How are you?" She asked Riley walked in.

"Surprise!" Riley yelled. Oh, Smackle is her surprise.

"Epic fail." I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"Weren't you surprised?" A little bit, but I wasn't surprised that we can still see Smackle.

"Of course I was, especially when I saw Smackle got cuter." I complimented, yeah she's cute but Riley is way cuter. Smackle

"Now that you've seen each other, I guess I'll go ahead," Riley said.

We still have 20 minutes, before the class start. I gave Smackle a tour.

"I heard that you're still single. Do you like some-" she said, but I cut her off with a hug. I pushed back, "What was that?" She asked in a confused tone.

"Friendly hug," I answered, I don't have feelings for her. But she's cool, so. We looked into each other's eyes. The bell rings so we headed to our room.

When we walked into our room, everybody's staring at us. We looked like a couple, Riley's smiling at us. Smackle sat behind me, this girl is really comfortable. I wondered why I didn't have a crush on her, oh because of Riley. Which NEVER had a crush on me.

During lunch break...

Riley, Lucas, Maya and I, were talking to each other.

"Can I sit with you?" Smackle asked.

"Of course." We respond Smackle sit beside me.

"So were you Smackle our geek classmate?" Maya asked while chewing some fries.

"I WAS that girl." She answered. We smiled at each other, while Riley's staring at us.

"I heard that you've learned the Italian language in Canada, So can you teach us some words?" Riley cut off our staring.

"Si, meet you at Topanga's?" Smackle asked, Wow! This girl is not only cool, but she's also one of a kind.

"Si." Riley respond.

After class, we went to the rooftop of Topanga's. Something about that moment was very... different.

"I'll get you guys something to eat." Riley said.

"We're coming with you." Lucas and Maya said. Smackle and I were the only persons left.  It felt like we were the only two people in the world. I really didn't expect anything from this night. I didn't even think I'd be talking to Smackle at all. I certainly didn't expect what happened next.

Her touch was warm. I could feel the warmth spreading through me. I knew it was a cold, breezy evening, but I forgot all about that when Smackle took my hand.

I kept my eyes focused on the ground even as Smackle spoke up.

"Farkle, I've been hoping to get you alone. I wanted to tell you something."

"What is it?" I asked. I sounded calm, but my heart wasn't pounding so hard. Maybe because I'm still in love with Riley. Deep inside, I've been hoping to get Riley alone. But when? And how? Right?

"Well--" she began, but was cut off when Riley shouted my name. Instinctively I yanked my hand back. My heart is starting to pound so hard when I saw Riley heading our way. She looked so gorgeous.

"Hey guys, the food is ready," Riley said while putting the trey on the table.

"Did we took so long to prepare the food?" Maya added, turning to me."No, it's fine." I said Smackle stood up

"I need to go, can we just continue this next time?" Her eyes were teary, did I do something wrong? "But we're just getting started," Lucas replied.

"I'll make it up to you." Smackle turned to me. "Bye," she told me. "Bye," I replied.

I felt like this is my fault. I know I'm so stupid. I was with her, but I can't help it I'm still in love with Riley. I shouldn't do that...
