Prom Night

It's February already, time flies so fast. I can't believe it, we're having a prom this month. Well, Farkle told me that he's not coming because he doesn't like parties.

One day in school, Maya came up to me. "So you already have a date for prom?" She asked.

What's she talking about? "I don't, Farkle is not coming."

She chuckled "Are you serious? Farkle is your boyfriend, he will not let you be alone at the prom."

"He doesn't like parties, I guess I'm not coming too."

We headed to the cafeteria to buy food, then I got a text message from Farkle. It read: Go to the Gymnasium.

When I got there, there were rose petals everywhere. I desperately searched the place signs of Farkle. Then the lights went off.

When the lights went on again, I saw Farkle standing at the center of the court. He was clutching a white rose between his teeth.

Then he approached me, got down on one knee, and handed me the rose.

When he stood up, he planted a kiss on my forehead, and I think he signaled to someone. Then the music played.

"Care to dance?" He asked, smiling.

"Smooth," I said as he took his hand.

He then held me closer and asked. "Will you be my prom date?"

"Of course," I answered.

Prom night came a few days later. It was being held at the school gymnasium.

I didn't do anything special with my looks. I just wore a yellow-colored gown and had my hair curled. Maya looked really gorgeous. I didn't think I looked special, so I found it hard to believe when Farkle greeted me,

"My girlfriend looked goddess!"

Of course, he will say that he's my boyfriend.

A few minutes later, the host announced that Farkle was the Prom King. And I didn't expect that I was the Prom Queen.

We went to the dance floor when the winners were announced. It felt like we were the only people in the world.

Farkle reached out and held my hand. His touch was warm. I could feel the warmth spreading through me. I knew it was a cold, breezy evening, but I forgot all about that when Farkle took my hand.

That was the best night of my life.
