"I'm sorry Kar." Elizabeth pouted, nibbling half heartedly on her extravagant meal. "I warned you this would happen though. It's a classic case of boy meets girl and forgets friends."
"I know." Karsyn sighed, pushing around her food with her fork. She has been looking forward to eating at this restaurant for months - and now she was finally here the food felt rather unappealing. "I just thought that Seb and I were different. I mean we've known each other for so long, right? So how could we fall out over stupid little blonde reporters? Even if her eyes are prettier than mine, or- or her thighs are skinning than mine, or-"
"Or her hair is that perfect shade or gold?"
"Yeah, or-"
"Are you listening to yourself, right now?" Elizabeth interrupted her, "You are Karsyn freaking Bennet. You just acted in the next Marvel film and produced the soundtrack and wrote an entire album within the last year. Don't get me wrong I love Seb, but he's fucking blind if he can't see what a catch you are."
Karsyn smiled weakly, "The world would be so much easier if people just told each other how they felt."
"Don't you know it." Elizabeth sighed and pushed away her plate, "Now let's get out of this place. I have Netflix and two large Ben and Jerry's at home with our names on it."
"But I haven't finished my food."
Elizabeth shrugged, "Get a takeout box."
"I don't think they do that here."
"Waiter-" Elizabeth grabbed the nearest worked as he strode past, pulling him to a surprisingly fast halt. "We need a take out box for table nine."
"I'm sorry, ma'am, but this is a formal restaurant-"
"And I'm the president." Lizzie rolled her eyes, "Look, kid, I just asked for a box. So go do whatever you do and get this woman a bag."
The waiter looked nervously between the two women, Karsyn trying her hardest to convey how sorry she was for her friend's behaviour. "I'll... I'll see what I can do."
"Thank you-" Elizabeth looked briefly at the boy's name tag, "-Jonathan."
