Bryson

I felt myself being shaken.

"Bryson"

My eyes opened for a half of second, and I looked up at her before slowly falling back asleep.

"Bryson, wake up. You're scaring me"

"Hm?"

"Brysonnnn"

I sat up in the bed, and looked around the blurry room before reaching my heavy arm out for my glasses.

"Are you okay?" I questioned, and dropped my head.

I couldn't feel for my glasses so I gave up trying.

"You kept coughing" I felt her press something against my lips, and I opened my mouth.

She pressed the canister down into the boot, and the medication flooded my mouth.

I heard her set my inhaler down on the dresser, and watched her blurry figure cut off the lamp.

"I put a water beside you if you need it"

"Thank you, Iniko"

"Mmmhm"

I laughed lightly. "I have to brush my teeth now, cause there's no way I can go back to sleep like this. Do you need something while I'm up?"

"I should be asking you that. Can you even see?"

"No, but I know my way around"

"You're going to stub your toe"

I cut the bathroom light on. "Everything's a blur now. I'll be good"

I brushed my teeth, and Iniko ended up joining me before we got back into my bed.

"Goodnight, Bryson"

"Goodnight"

She laid her head down on my chest.

"I don't think that I'm as comfortable as a pillow"

"You are. I like listening to your heart beat fast"

"In about twenty minutes, you're going to listen to me have a heart attack"

"I make you nervous?"

"Everybody makes me nervous" My face flushed red.

She dragged her hand up my chest  and put it on my warm cheek.

Six minutes later, she was asleep.

"I can't do it" I mumbled, standing behind Iniko.

"Stop saying that you can't do things, Bryson. Think positive, and try harder"

"My pancakes look like they've been dragged, and yours are perfect"

"You flip them too early"

"I flipped mine right after you did"

She poured the batter into the pan, and grabbed hold of my wrist.

"And now we wait"

After about five seconds, she spoke again. "I should just get a pancake maker, cause this takes too long"

I laughed, and Iniko reached her hand back to push my glasses up for me.

"Y'all already one person" I heard Kejuan say from behind me.

"Hi, Swan" Iniko said, and we flipped the pancake.

"I like you better than Le-hoena"

"Thanks for bring her up" I frowned, and stepped away from Iniko.

"I like me better too"

She took the pan off the stove, and opened the microwave to get the bacon.

I got the plate of pancakes, and set them down on the table.

"And y'all got real bacon up in here" He took a seat beside me, and I glared at him.

I regret ever giving him a key to my place.

"Welcome guests with open arms, bruh. Don't get besides yourself"

He got three pancakes, and four pieces of bacon.

"So y'all talked about your parents meeting yet?"

"Did you come here just to be nosy?" Iniko asked.

"Why of course. So gather up your intel and spill the beans"

"There isn't-"

"Also, pass the syrup"
