When we got to school I didn't hesitate in rushing away from Jake. The memory of Jake looking up and down at me as I literally just sat there watching him scan me kept replaying in my mind and making my head spin.

I continued walking towards my locker trying to forget what just happened until at last I was in the hall way. From a distance I saw Ethan going through his locker which was placed two down from mine.

Ethan was my best and only friend. He's a senior here and no not a bad boy, player, or very popular. The most popular were my brother and now that he's back im assuming, Jake. I didn't want girl friends since I feel all they ever do is involve me in pointless drama, at least those were the girls at my school and most of them simply used me me to just get closer with Austin.

I was always a DUFF for those girls.

Anyway I've known him since my sophomore year. He was a Junior then and that year I was placed in all honors classes with seniors. So, most happened to be classes with him. Overtime we grew closer and closer. Now we have all of our classes together except for the 2 where you were split by your age not smarts, which were P.E and Art.

I walked up until I met my locker. He continued fiddling in it until he looked through the corner of his eye. He smiled, "Morning Sunshine." That was his nickname for me, something about my smile lighting up his day. I smiled back "Hey E." His nickname was just a name shortage, yea so clever. I began putting my lock into my combination and opening it just when he closed his.

After I was done I closed my locker and saw his confused face. "Whats wrong?" I shook my head, "Nothin, lets go the bell with ring soon." I began walking until he pulled my wrist back hurling me to a stop and turning me around. "No no sunshine you're not going anywhere until you tell me what's wrong." I stared into his eyes until I squeezed out a smile, "Really nothing I promise E." He squinted and opened his mouth slightly as if he were to question more but the bell rang then.

I stuck my tongue out implying we had to walk to class. I took his wrist and pulled him until we got to Math, yay the blessing my day starts with. Note the sarcasm. 

We sat at our usual table which has a seat left over since it had to be groups of three but the first day when seats were picked we sat together and the rest of the tables got filled and ours only had us.

We began to work on worksheets until the door opened, I never bother looking since it was usually an office assistant coming in to pick up attendance sheets. I began whispering to Ethan to help him with the math when the teacher spoke, "Well, welcome back Mr. Watson take a seat in any empty chair."

I looked up and so did Ethan when the chair in front of us moved. I watched as Jake took a seat and smiled over at us. "Ms. Grey I expect you to help Mr.Watson adjust with the work." I looked over at the teacher and smiled nodding. "Hi i'm Jake." I looked over at Ethan who just smiled politely revealing his dimples "Ethan and this is Luciana." Yeah Luciana Mari Grey was my full name but only Ethan and my family new my middle name.

"Nice to meet you Ethan but I've already met Lucy." I looked up at Ethan and smiled "Er um yeah he and my brother are friends." Ethan nodded and shrugged going back to the worksheets.

I tucked my loose hair behind my ear and adjusted my glasses leaning back in to Ethan to whisper to help him with the problem he didn't understand.

It was really hard when you have Ethan a total daydreamer losing concentration by looking into my eyes and making me smile with constant faces, and him constantly poking my hip which he knew made me jump since I was ticklish.

When I caught him trying to do it again I caught his hand and we began laughing as he tried to pry free and I tried to hold him and explain. "So um what did you guys get for number 3?" We stopped and looked over at Jake who was just staring at us waiting for an answer.

After Lucy ran off I left Austin. "I have to go register at the office and pick up my schedule ill see you at lunch." We nodded as I walked away and into the office.

After I was done I went down the hall walking to my class since I knew I bell was bound to ring. As I walked at the end of the hall I saw Lucy being held on the wrist by some dude. She smiled and stuck her tongue out as the bell rang. I expected her to leave him but instead she grabbed his wrist and walked with him. Are they dating? No Austin would have mentioned it.

I was lost in a daydream and when I came back the halls were practically empty. I rushed to my first class which I guess was Math.

I arrived late and saw Lucy sitting there whispering to the same guy. When I was told to pick a seat I took the empty spot at their table and sat across from them.

"Ethan this is Luciana." So Ethan was that idiots name.

When we went to working on worksheets she began explaining to him. I watched him as he gazed into her eyes not really paying attention. The hairs on my neck stood when I saw him constantly poke her side making her smile. Her smile.

They way they looked at each other killed me. As soon as they were laughing and she was holding his hand I wanted to scream and pry them apart. The only way was, "So um what did you guys get for number 3?"

She quickly let go of Ethan's hand and looked down at her worksheet. I could see her cheeks turn slightly pink as she cleared her throat saying, "Oh um sorry it's, 23." I nodded and wrote that down.

As I looked up she slightly smacked his shoulder since he was chuckling at her at something I didn't hear. She smiled sticking her tongue out. Interrupt again. "Are you guys dating or?" He smiled looking at Lucy and turning back to me. He took her hand and drew circles against the back of it with his thumb.

"No we're just really good friends isn't that right Sunshine?" Sunshine?? She smiled looking at him then to me and nodded blushing slightly, "Yea."

When the bell rang I walked behind them watching them talk and laugh to their next class. I shut them out until lunch and I saw Lucy sitting alone probably waiting for him. But he wasn't there yet.

My chance to talk to her. Wait about what?
