Jake

It had been about 3 hours since Lucy went upstairs and I asked her to hang out with me.

I had been working up the nerve to ask her recently but every time I wanted to she was either not home or she would walk away before I got the change, and every time she walked away she went to Ethan growing closer to him by the second. Well I finally did, but the funny thing is I have no clue where we should go. I never thought I'd get as far as even getting her to agree to go out.

Now I was just sitting on the living room couch watching The Matrix and thinking of where to take her until it's six o'clock, the time she comes down and we leave to hang out.

Austin had come down from showering about twenty minutes after I asked Lucy. He was laying on the couch opposite of me watching too, with his hand occupied in a bag of chips. "Austin."

"Yeah?" He popped another chip into his mouth, "Oh sorry did you want some." He directed the opening of the bag toward me but I shook my head no. "Then what's up?" "I'm going to hang out with a girl later." He arched an eyebrow, "Who?" I looked back to the movie, "Lucy."

I could see him sit up from the corner of my eye. "Lucy? Why?" "Just to hang out. No biggie." "Okay. What are you planning on doing? Why the sudden interest? When are you guys leaving?" I sighed,"Austin is an interogation really necessary." "Fine I'll stop."

He gave a sigh of relief and sat back.
"Just don't do anything to Lucy you wouldn't want me doing to your sister."

"I don't have a sister."

"Fine don't to anything to her you wouldn't want me to do to-" he smirked, "your mom."

I rolled my eyes.

<><>about an hour later<><>

I checked my phone after like the hundredth time. It was five forty five. I groaned throwing my head backward, almost time.

"Why so cranky?"

I jerked up at the sound of the soft voice. I looked back and saw Lucy. She was smiling and coming down the stairs. "No reason."

She hopped down from the last step, "So, are we still hanging out. Or are you regretting the decision already?" I smiled and stood up, "Of course we're still hanging out." She nodded and looked over at Austin, "I hope you don't mind I'm stealing your bestfriend for a while."

He shrugged still laying in the couch and took a handful of chips and stuffed them in his mouth.

As we drove I couldn't help but look over at her every now and then. She looked really pretty, even if she was only in a sweatshirt.

"Eyes on the road, or you'll get us killed." I grinned redirecting my view at the road, "Fine." "So where are we going?" "It's a surprise." Her green eyes widened slightly, behind her glasses, twinkling excitedly, "Interesting."

"So, tell me something interesting about yourself." I looked at her questioningly, "Why the sudden interest?" She shrugged, "I figure we have some time to kill. So why not learn a few things about you." "Well what do you want to know?" "Are you ticklish?" I wiggled my eyebrows, "You can test that out whenever." She rolled her eyes, "You wish Watson."
Oh, you have no idea.
