I scanned my closet for an outfit for tonight. Ethan said I could wear anything for his 'surprise location' but I couldn't decide.

After a while I just went with some ripped jeans and a yellow long sleeve. I tied half of my hair up into a bun and left the rest down.

Finally I curled the hair I left down.  I put on some lip gloss and mascara but I doubt he'll notice with my glasses in front.

I made my way to my window and looked out wondering where he would take me. My phone went off causing me to jump slightly.

A smile formed across my face as I walked toward my bed, where my phone was laying. It was already 4 o'clock.

E: hey Sunshine I'm on my way to your place :)

I ran to my mirror and looked at myself one more time. Calm down. It's only your bestfriend Ethan.

The sound of the doorbell echoed. That quick? I made my way out of my room and down the stairs quickly. I walked the last few steps to the door and fixed my hair. Finally I smiled and opened the door.

"Hey." I blinked, "Oh hey, Jake." He smiled back and stepped in. As he walked in he looked back at me and grinned.

"You answered the door quickly." I blushed slightly, "Yeah, well I was expecting someone." After a moment of awkward silence I opened mouth, "Austin is up stairs." He furrowed his eyebrow before turning and leaving.

The doorbell went off again. I turned and opened the door with a smile. Ethan was standing there in a baby blue t-shirt, jeans, and his converse. His smile was as big as ever.

His lips finally parted, "Hi." I smiled back, "Hey." His eyes went down and back up making me feel more self conscious. He noticed my insecurity as his eyes locked on mine, "You look beautiful."  I could feel my cheeks burn. The butterflies this boy gave me.

"You don't look too bad yourself." He smiled, "You ready to go?" I nodded and followed him quietly out the door.

In the car the purr of the engine was the only thing you could hear. It was more quiet then usual.

"So, where are you taking me?" He grinned looking over at me and back at the road, "You know it's a surprise." I looked out the window before turning back, "Can I get a hint?" "You're impatient aren't you, Sunshine?" I nodded and laughed.

It felt like hours as I watched the buildings of our city through the car window. Eventually the buildings faded.

We weren't in the city anymore. Instead, we're were going up a hill. Night was approaching when the car finally came to a stop.

As we stepped out the car, all I saw around us was grass, hills, and dirt.

"You aren't planning to kill me, right Ethan?" He laughed walking to the trunk, "Of course not."

He pulled out a basket and a blanket. I walked over, "What can I help with?" He handed me the red blanket. After we grabbed everything he closed the trunk.
