Chapter Thirty One - A What!

Since you all insisted.....

"Selena?" Justin jumped up from his seat on the plane and quickly took a sleeping Elle from her arms. "What are you doing here?"

"I kept thinking about what you were saying. And I couldn't sleep. I even tried calling Dylan but it kept going to voicemail. Something is definitely going on here Justin and I really wish you'd just tell me." she tried to say all in one breathe before Justin pulled her into his arms comfortingly. 

"Excuse me, we're going to have to ask to please take your seat, we're about to take off." One of the air hostesses came across to warn them. Justin indicated to her that he'd like to change his seat closer to my family and she and Selena surprisingly happily obliged.

Jake and Max eyes and grins widen when they saw their dad and mom coming to take a seat behind them...together. 

"Does this mean that mom and dad are getting back together?" Max whispered up to Jake after he buckled up his seatbelt.

"Oh I wish it was so easy Maxy, Mom was still trying to call that Dylan guy the entire ride to the airport." with a roll of his eyes Jake responded.

Max sighed and turned to look out the window "Oooo we're taking off!!" he chuckled. Max had a thing for planes. Selena always says that he would probably be a pilot when he grows up.

With Max enticingly looking out the window, Jake took the opportunity to sneakily look back at his parents while they converse.

Justin's P.O.V.

"Sooo? Are you going to tell me?"

Is this really a good place? They aren't that many people in first class tonight but information like that can't just be spoken about so freely in the public, can it? All my years on earth, and I've never been in a situation like this. I mean I'm not directly in the situation but damn it my children are involved, Selena is involved therefore, so am I. Why did she have to choose this guy out of everyone? He must have been the one to come onto her first. She's still so naive.

"Justin!"

"I'm sorry, I was just thinking...." she raised her eyebrow as if asking me what I was thinking about. Ugh. I can't tell her that either.

"You need to rest Selena, you just got out of the hospital a few hours ago, heck I don't even think you're supposed to be flying so soon."

"Would you quit being my Dr. and be my friend for once?"

"I don't think I could ever just be your friend Sel, these three are proof of that."

She rolled her eyes and straighten up herself in her seat so that she could tie her hair in a top knot. Noo....I love it when its down

"Fine, my baby daddy then." she faked a smile. "Better?"

I burst out laughing. She did not just say that. I couldn't believe it.  At that moment I also hear a faint giggle from in front of us and I realize that Jake has probably been listening in on our conversation. I look between the seat and he almost jumps off his seat when he sees me.

"Hi dad."

"I think its past your bedtime now Jakey, don't you?"

He blushes and nods before turning around and switching on the TV in front of him before plugging in his headphones and getting himself comfortable.

I turn my attention back to Selena "See why I can't tell you anything right now."

"Fine, but as soon as we get home you're telling me everything that you know."
