Here is the alternative ending as requested by Roshanay! This is for all the Jay fans, thanks for all your support. Epilogue should be up soon!

Even if I had wanted to escape I wouldn’t have been able to, Jay held my arm firmly all the way to a seat inside the café. He abruptly let go of my arm, making me fall into the seat,

“I heard about what happened with Owen.” Shrugging I just looked out the window again,

“Why did you take Darren back?” this time I looked at him, straight in the eye,

“Because I love him.” My short statement seemed to make anger flicker in Jay’s eyes,

“You’re meant to love me, not him!” he bashed his fist against the table rattling it and attracting attention from nearby diners,

“Not after what you did to me.” I leant away from him and relaxed back into the seat watching him warily,

“I’m your mate! We’re meant to forgive each other!” he ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath,

“Did you seriously expect me to forgive you after what you did? You cheated and lied, you didn’t even say sorry!” I hissed at him,

“Darren lied to you too.” He shot back with the same tone almost immediately,

“He didn’t cheat!” That seemed to shut him up. We sat in silence after that consumed in our own thoughts and that’s when it seemed to hit me, everything made sense now, everything that we had gone through made total sense.

“I love you.”  Darren’s head cocked up in surprise, my head was spinning in confusion too but one thing I knew was that I loved Jay. Darren had been amazing but I couldn’t deny this any longer, I stretched over the table and kissed Jay hard. The tingles that we used to share spread throughout me and seemed to feel better than Darren’s kisses. It didn’t take long for him to respond after getting over the shock , everything didn’t matter apart but Jay, my hands made their way into the soft hair I’d missed.

“Get a room!” the voice snapped us out of our kiss and I was surprised to find myself sat on top of Jay,

“I love you, Carmen and I’m so sorry for everything I’ve ever done to you.”  I looked into his eyes and so sincerity in them, nothing could ever separate me from him and I couldn’t help but replace my lips back on his.

Lying in bed with Jay’s arms around me, I felt warm and content. I’d used Darren as an excuse for not loving him but deep down I couldn’t resist the mates bond, I’d called Darren before I’d gone further with Jay and he’d been upset but understanding. I knew he’d find someone better but it was inevitable for me to end up with Jay.

“Let’s get married now.” I turned away from the ceiling and looked at Jay,

“Get married? Now?” Jay got out of bed and knelt in front of me,

“I don’t have a ring but all I know is that I love you very much and I’ve lost you once and I won’t lose you again, so will you marry me Carmen?”

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” I grabbed his head and kissed him.

“Let’s go to Vegas and get married then!” I didn’t waste any time in sitting around, I pulled on my clothes and began looking for tickets.

“I know pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss your bride!” The ‘Elvis look alike’ shouted out but I didn’t pay any attention to him, I wrapped my arms around Jay and kissed him,

“I love you, Carmen.” I was finally his and he was mine. I knew many people wouldn’t be happy about us being together but I loved him and he was my mate and we were meant together. Forever.

“I love you, Jay.”
