(ad) verb Join (something) to something else so as to increase the size, number, or amount. "a new wing was added to the building" Put together (two or more numbers or amounts) to calculate their total value "please add two and three together"
Adding. To add. Addition. What am I doing? I'm just trying to have you understand what 'add' truly means. After all, I am an online dictionary and my job is to help you understand words you're too stupid to already know. What? I should actually be telling you the definition of 'add'? Well I did. Can't you read? It's at the top of the page, can't miss it. Anyways, it's not like I actually know how to add. Don't look at me like that! I am a book on the internet. Just because I use the same internets as Google doesn't mean we're best buds. Actually we rather despise each other but that's a story for another day. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I don't know math (or addition, although isn't there something to do with an aunt named Sally?) because I am a Dictionary for words. I am not a math textbook (thank the printers I'm not! Those books are always so stuck up). I am used by writers and confused flesh-monsters like yourself trying to understand the meaning of a word. Stop being rude towards me, I know a great lot of things! Most of them are not math-related. Shush up. Seriously, be quiet. You're really annoying. Go away, you're mean. I don't like you. Leave.
Once again we must apologize for any trouble the dictionary may be causing. We recommend using Google until we can fix this problem. -Editors

Defined by a Dictionary
HumorWe use dictionaries (online or book form) a lot in our lives. However we never know what the dictionaries are thinking about themselves. Mostly it's sarcastic comments about word definitions.
