Chapter 24~The waiting game~

Beast BoysPOV

Why can't this cab go faster! I'm growing impatient, I need to see my little sister! my heart stopped when we got the phone call from Tony saying that she has been hurt badly and might not make it.......

(Flashback)

 RING RING.......RING RING......

I pick up the phone and speak,

"Heeelllooo"

"Beast Boy is that you?" I hear Tony's voice from the phone,

"Hey Tony yeah it's me, what's up?" 

"Beast Boy you and the Titans have to come to the tower as soon as possible....it's (y/n) she been injured on a mission and...... we don't think she's gonna make it..." my eyes widen and my heart shatters, no not my little sister, no please no no no,

"O-ok we'll book the first flight for tomorrow morning i'll see you then" 

"Ok Beast Boy i'll see you then" I hang up and fall on my knees and start crying, Robin runs to me and puts a hand on my shoulder,

"Hey what's wrong?" 

"I-It's (y/n) she-she's been injured a-and they don't t-think shes gonna m-make it, we have t-to go Robin" I sob

"Oh my god, come one lets go get your stuff ready and i'll book the first flight to New York"

(End of Flashback)

The cab pulls up in front of the tower and I rush out leaving my stuff behind, not caring about it right now.

I run into the room to see her hooked up to machines and Leo sitting beside her, I slowly walk towards them, I can't believe my eyes my heart breaks and tears make there way down my face.

"H-hey Beast Boy" Leo says and walks up to me pulling me into a hug, I hug back and try not to break down, Leo looks terrible, his eyes are blood shot and he looks tired,

"Hey you better go and get some rest" I pull out of the hug, 

"N-no I can't I can't leave her, no I won't" he starts to panic,

"Leo it's ok i'll stay with her, don't worry she's safe with me" I say reassuring him, It must have worked because he nods his head and walks out of the room, I walk over and sit by my sisters bed,

"H-hey sis, I know you probably can't hear me, but if you can please fight (y/n) please, we all need you, I'm your brother i'm supposed to take care of you and yet here you are fighting for your life, oh (y/n) I'm so sorry!" I let it out and sob into my hands, I feel a hand on my shoulder I turn around and see it's Raven, I stand up and hug her and it surprises me when she hugs back,

"Beast Boy this isn't your fault" she said sternly, I pull out out of the hug and nod my head,

"I know, but I can't help but feel responsible" the rest of the titans walk in and they gasp when they see her, 

"Oh no" Starfire says with tears in her eyes, Robin wraps his arms around her shoulders and lets her cry, Cyborg walks over to her,

"Hey (y/n) it's me Cyborg, if you can hear me, come back to us please (y/n) we need you".............

Steve'sPOV 

Me and the rest of the Avengers are sitting in the meeting room, none of us saying a word. I can't believe this has happened again, she's such a great girl she doesn't deserve any of this, I can't help but think it should have been me, tears start to form in my eyes but I try hard to not let them fall, Tony notices and pulls me into a hug, I can't help it and I break down in his arms,

"Shhhh, Steve it's ok, everything's going to be ok" he tries to calm me down,

"What if it's not Tony, what if she dies, this is all my fault I knew she wasn't ready and yet I let her come anyway" 

"Steve don't you dare say that, it wasn't your fault, (y/n) is a strong girl she can get through this" Nat says from the table,

I just hope she's right, but until that happens I guess we'll just have to play the waiting game now...............
