Iruna Online

Of course you knew I was gonna do this...... I even made a book about it. Iruna Online is a very fun MMORPG game. It is also the prequel to Toram (sorry forgot to mention it last time) which kinda explains the clearly better graphics of Toram. Unfortunately I must admit that this game is a lot worse than Toram in terms of graphics, boss fights and well, the trading in-game.

First, the game may look 3D, but look closely and you'll see that everything is actually made out of pixels. Yes, even you are. If you zoom in on yourself you can see that your eyes become pixelated. In Iruna, the scenery is wonderful, but only if you look at it overall. If you are one of the many people that care a lot about detail then you might not like the background because as I said, everything is made out of pixels so you'll just be looking at a whole bunch of pixels.

Next, the boss fights. In Toram whenever the boss tries to attack a large area, a big red circle (or shape, whatever) appears so you can avoid it. There's no such thing in Iruna. There's nothing to indicate an AOE attack; in fact you get hit whether you move or not.

Finally, since I haven't played Toram for long I don't know if this happens in Toram, but some people are absolutely greedy. They sell 1 piece of useless armour for 50,000 spina, and 1 slightly useful weapon for over 1,000,000 Spina. The prices are ridiculous. Unfortunately I have no choice but to pay 17,000,000 Spina for that armour I really want T_T

Now that we're done with the bad things, let's talk about the good things of Iruna! The classes, which range from a beast knight to an assassin to a servant, have a lot of amazing skills. Very soon the game developers will introduce new classes to the global version. The necromancer which can summon skeletons, and the summoner which has not been announced yet, that's 1 thing to look forward to.

The next thing is the amount of nice players. The people who want to earn Spina will charge others for it, which I agree with as long as they don't become overpriced like I described above. However some people, who you're lucky enough to meet might give you free equipment or help you complete your quest. In my opinion, these are the more "respectable" players of Iruna. I' not saying other players aren't respectable but I mean its a game, so why would you charge other people tonnes of money just for 1 piece of equipment that you can just give out of generosity?

OK, so to sum it up:

Pros: The majority of the community is nice and helpful. There are classes which give you special skills based on what you are. Just think of this game as a mini SAO. You can cook and make your own equipment, and you get to sell things!

^Draft from 6th October, 2016. This is a tribute to the game I once loved (it's not dead, it just changed).

Updated Pros: Fast levelling, cool skills and interesting (although semi cliche) storyline.

Cons: Lack of community involvement, speed hacking problems, easy levelling and the graphics? (There are many games with better graphics, but I personally think it's alright).

Off track note: The necromancer (released in March 2017) was cool, although not what I expected. The skeletons' attacks are slow; really slow. Also, back then Toram actually had an ok market but I don't know about now.

I'm back after 2 years :) I kind of just forgot about it and just went on with my life. With life getting more busy, I want something fun to do. I really do. So I'll be posting something every Sunday, and spam me if I don't. For those uh maybe 10 people who used to read this 2 years ago, hello again. Thanks for supporting me back then. I hope you're still alive.
