You had been missing for several days. Nobody knew where you were or if you were still alive but there wasn't any time for people to ask questions. Preparing for the battle against the grounders was the only thing anyone was thinking of.
Except for Jasper.
He had been having trouble falling asleep ever since the day of your disappearance. It made him furious that nobody was lifting a finger to try find your whereabouts. So he didn't think twice when he stormed up to Bellamy and Clarke and demanded for a search party to find you.
Midway through the search, he heard Bellamy's voice calling for him and was by his side in an instant.
But what he saw made him break.
Your cold, lifeless body laid there with a visible deep and bloody cut on your throat. The dirt and mud on your body made it difficult to see your face, making it even easier for Japer to convince himself that the body wasn't yours.
"No, that's not her. C'mon we have to keep looking, she's out here somewhere"
