You and Bonnie hadn't known each other for that long. A mere 3 weeks but when she stood there in a long black dress staring at your casket, she felt as if she had known you for decades.
You had arrived at Mystic Falls when the Salvatore brothers called for your help. There was a clan of vampires wanting to drain or turn all the bodies in Mystic Falls and the plan was to persuade them to leave or kill them. Hence, this began a war.
