Grant High- Counselors Office
Amy- Want some cake?*she says to the counselor offering her a huge piece of cake, that she was given prior to coming in her office*

Mrs O'Mally- Sure. I thought you and Ricky were going to wait until the 4th of July to get married?

Amy- We were, but we just couldn't wait..

Mrs O'Mally- That's great that you eloped. I mean why have a big wedding? It costs so much money these days. Hmm good cake

Amy-Oh thanks! Ben's girlfriends mom made it

Mrs O'Mally- I wanted to talk to you about something.. This year I'm asking each of the seniors to mentor a freshman coming into the school

Amy- That's a great idea

Mrs O'Mally- I'm glad you think so, I have a really special girl I want you to meet, she just moved to this school and she needs a lot of help, I think you're the best person for the job..
Kathy!*she yells*

Kathy- Hey.. *She walks in the door and seems to be pregnant*Oo cake * she turns from them to look at the cake*

Amy- Seriously? *Amy turns from looking at Kathy to looking at Mrs O'Mally* Can I talk to Mrs O'Mally for a few minutes

Kathy- Sure *she leaves*

*Kathys POV*

I've known Ethan for about 2 years now. We met when he got out of juvi, my dad is his probation officer. We spent a lot of time together, but he was dating someone at the time so we couldn't date. Then, they finally broke up and we started dating. After a year into dating we had sex for the first time, it was something I can't describe..... Just AMAZING! I've never felt so comfortable with a guy in my life. 2 weeks later, I take a pregnancy test and find out that I'm pregnant. I couldn't stay in private school because I didn't want to be asked so many questions. I started homeschooling, but I didn't like that either. I decided to go to Ethan's school(Grant High), at least I'd have him to comfort me.

Back to the Counselor's Office
Amy- I can't mentor her, I'm just as pregnant as she is!

Mrs O'Mally- You guys can relate on that level! You can tell her everything about being a mom in high school and you can talk about your symptoms and all that

Amy- I guess...

Mrs O'Mally - Plus she's having a baby by Ethan, aren't him and Ricky like brothers ?!

Amy- What's her name again?

Mrs O'Mally- Kathy

Amy- Oh My God!!! That's the girl Ethan was talking about!!

Mrs O'Mally- Wait so you two haven't met?

Amy- If we would've met I wouldn't have been so shocked! Wow. I have to go talk to her!

Mrs O'Mally- Okay

*Amy goes and takes the cake with her*

Outside of Grant High

*Amy sees Kathy on the bench and sits next to her*
Amy- Hi I'm Amy, sorry for being so rude at first. I just wasn't expecting -

Kathy- Having to mentor a pregnant girl? I get it...

Amy- It's just because I'm pregnant too...

Kathy- Really!

Amy- Yes and I know who your baby's father is

Kathy- Yeah, Ethan he goes to school here

Amy- He and my husband are like brothers

Kathy- Wait you're married to Ricky?

Amy- Yes!

Kathy- Ethan talks about him all the time!

Amy- Hopefully the 4 of us will be able to go out sometime!

Kathy- I'd love that

Amy- Me too. So are you ready to have a baby?You're 4 months pregnant right?

Kathy- Yes I am and were contemplating.... not sure if we should put her up for adoption or not

Amy- I don't want to change your mind about adoption, but I do want to tell you that if you choose to keep the baby -I have a place where you can keep her during the day and work there in the evenings

Kathy- Where?

Amy- The church nursery - I work there and they give me a good amount of money as well as free child care

Kathy- Woah. That's a good deal

Amy- Yes, but again it's up to you

Margaret and Shakur's House

Ricky- Hey mom *he says walking toward his mom*

Margaret- Hey son

Ricky- When's dad back?

Margaret- On Friday and he can't wait to see you

Ricky- Why?

Margaret- Because you're married and expecting another baby! And we're very proud of you

Ricky- Thanks 

Margaret-I have something for you...

Ricky- Oh no don't give me anything... you've done enough for me, I gotta get to the campus bookstore and get my books

Margaret -These were my mother and fathers wedding bands and I noticed that you and Amy didn't have wedding bands-

Ricky- I can't take this- it has to have some sentimental value *he says holding the rings*

Margaret- You're more precious to me than any type of gold

Amy- Hey Ben... cake?

Ben- No thank you.. Did you have to get married? Really.. why now?  Was the 4th of July not soon enough? You couldn't wait until the baby was born?

Amy- Ben-

Ben- I can't keep the words out of my mouth... I LOVE YOU AMY!I've always loved you!
