A few days after the funeral, Blake was still depressed about his parents. He stayed in bed all day, never moving, never talking. Just staring at the blank wall mindlessly, buried deep within his own thoughts.

"Morning Blake. What would you like for breakfast?" I was talking to a corpse. I tried talking to Blake every day, but he never answered, so I've gotten used to the silence. Holding a hand over my giant belly, I hobble out of bed. Blake stays completely still, eye's flickering my way before darting back to the wall.

"How does pancakes sound?" I ask my baby, rubbing the lower part of my stomach where she laid. I didn't actually know if it was a girl or boy, but I had a good feeling. A slight kick answers my question. She keeps kicking, and I hobble over to Blake's lifeless body. "Babe the baby's kicking."

Nothing.

Sighing, I turn away. "Blake, maybe I should go stay with Nes for a little while until you get it together. I love you, I really do, but I can't keep living with someone who acts like I'm not here. If you want me here, say something."

Still nothing.

"That's what I thought." I snatch my purse and phone, stomping down the stairs as best I could with my bulging belly. Shooting Nessa a quick text telling her I'd be over in ten, I walk slowly to the door, hoping and wishing that Blake would stop me, but the house was silent other then my quiet sobs. Grabbing a set of keys, I storm out of the house and towards the car I had picked, which happened to be his precious Ferrari. Driving out of the gates, I look back through the mirror at the house my mate sat in, refusing to talk to me.

Driving around the town, I eventually did decided to go to Vanessa's house. Somewhere along the way, I started crying and had to pull over. Tears poured out of my face, I sat and cried for what felt like hours. The sky turned dark, and rain started to pour down on the car. Only my car.

Stupid powers.

Suddenly a pit of dread and sorrow filled my stomach, making the baby kick repeatedly.

"What the fuck is going on?" I say out loud to myself, and then I get my answer. Two burly men open both doors on either side of the car, the one on my side grabbing me by the arms and ripping me from my seat. "GET OFF ME!" I scream, directing a gust of rain to the man's eyes. He cries out and drops me, the water pelting his eyeballs.

Take that you stupid fuck.

I take that as my que to run, and I do so, trying to escape the two men. I don't get far however, my large stomach making me exhausted easily, and slow down. The two men gain on me, and summon large blows of wind to keep them from getting to me. I was so occupied with the them, I didn't see a third man sneak up behind me until it was to late. He covers my nose and pours a greenish liquid down my throat, making me cough choke. I try to push through the haze and use my powers, but whatever he drugged me with was to strong. The last words I remember hearing from my father were

"I told you I'd be back."

BLAKES POV

Something is wrong. My wolf says in my head, but I ignore him. Blake. Something is wrong with our mate. Again, I treat him with silence. Ever since my parents funeral, I've refused to say a word to anyone. I just couldn't believe they were gone. My sweet, couldn't hurt a fly, parents.

I hear the door slam open downstairs, but I ignore it thinking it's just Madi. Instead, a blazing Vanessa slams my my door open. "What the fuck is wrong with you!?" She screams, hurting my ears.

"What are you talking about?" I mumble, only because she was giving me a headache. "And where is Madi?"

"Um I was about to ask the same thing! She said you were neglecting her and she was gonna be over in like ten minutes!" Vanessa screams, looking at me expectantly

Wow Blake. Our mate thinks you were neglecting her and our child. Are you proud yet? My wolf says snarkily.

I brush him off as I try to piece together why Vanessa would be so worried about my ma- Then it hit me.

She left two hours ago.

I instantly jump out of bed, ignoring a shrieking Vanessa. I throw on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt, as well as a pair of shoes.

My mate was in trouble, and this time, it was all my fault.
