Raca
Raca stared out the window, thinking about how she would soar through the skies of Vastia tonight. For some reason, she felt as if having a friend opened up a whole new world.
Just then, a raven glided to the windowsill and perched on the narrow ledge. It peered into the glass, regarding the students with beady black eyes.
Raca smiled at the sight of the black bird.
"Wow, you're actually smiling."
Her eyes left the raven to look at the source of the voice. It was the classmate that never left her alone.
"Yeah. I guess I am." Raca allowed her smile to linger, because maybe, just maybe, she could call someone on Earth a friend again.
That night, she didn't dream.
