Twenty Four

I quickly moved my eyes to my book. Kelsey noticed.

"What's wrong?" She asked concerned.

"Nothing." I say quickly.

She looks at me confused and turned around.

"Hey guys."

I didn't have to look up to know it was Brett.

I didn't say anything and pretend that he didn't say a thing.

But Kelsey on the other hand decided to talk to him.

"Hey Brett." She says

"Well at least one person knows how to talk." He says

I roll my eyes at his comment.

"I know how to talk. I just don't want to talk to you." I say finally looking up at him.

He only smirks which cause me to roll my eyes again and closed my book

"Why are you over here Brett?" I asked.

"I can't come and say hi?"

I sigh and begin to pack my books up.

"Let's go." I say to Kelsey.

She nods obviously seeing that there's tension.

We begin to stand up.

"So your just going to leave?" Brett asked.

"Uh, yeah." I say grabbing my bag.

He only laughs.

"Meet me back at the dorms. I'll let you guys work out your problems." Kelsey says before heading to off the field and to the dorms

"Well now she's gone we can maybe finish what we started." He says pulling me towards him.

"Leave me alone Brett." I say backing away from him.

"Why are you acting like this?" He asked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked crossing my arms.

"You're acting like a damn baby. Your not even allowing me to touch you but you did a week ago."

"Yeah. That was before I had a boyfriend."

He laughs.

"You mean Dylan." He says laughing.

"You allowed Dylan to be you boyfriend." He says laughing again

"I don't see what so funny about that." I say

"Have you even seen Dylan before? He can't even protect you like I could." He say walking to me.

"I don't care?" I say

"Why won't you give me a chance?"He asked moving closer.

"Because I already have Dylan."

"You make it seem dating Dylan is a good thing." He says

"Can you just leave already?"

"Not until you answer my question. Why won't you give me a chance?" He asked

"I believe she said leave her alone."

I turn to see Dylan approaching us. I look around to notice most of the others that were out before aren't here anymore.

He comes over to me and drops his gym bag to the side.

"All I did was asked a question." Brett say.
