Friendship.

It was supposed to be a relationship based on trust.

I glanced at Master Omar, who walked beside me and he caught my gaze. I looked away. Did I trust this man?

Master Omar had requested to walk us to the main gate and Master Wali had decided to tag along much to Asad's displeasure. The man irked my brother off in a weird way and something told me that Master Wali knew that. I also assumed that he had volunteered so that he would be able to keep an eye on us unless we decide to do something incredibly stupid again.

This night was proving to be a long one.

We walked in silence, Asad was leading and Master Wali followed him. Master Omar was close behind me, maintaining his distance but I did feel his eyes on me sometimes.

He was not dangerous. Not to me at the very least. But I still did not know whether to trust me. There were a lot of things that were a mystery.

"Do tell me, servant boy, what was the purpose of you breaking and entering?" Master Wali broke the silence and Asad visibly tensed his shoulder.

"The carriage, Master. We were curious and apparently we were not wrong." Asad said slowly.

"It is simply a carriage splattered with paint. Why did it pique your curiosity?"

"It was obvious that you were hiding something," Asad said bluntly.

"Let me reframe that question." Master Wali scoffed and threw a glance at Master Omar who looked immensely bored, "How did it affect the amazing Beizeen siblings whether I hid something behind the poorly done paint job?"

Asad remained quiet. I knew we had no answer to this and I knew this question would come sooner or later. How did it affect us?

"Master Maha is almost like a father to us," Asad said turning and facing Master Wali, "We were simply looking out for him. We did not want some shady person to be around him."

Master Wali rolled his eyes, "Did you actually think that I would reside in Master Maha's house with him having no clue as to who I am? Are you that stupid?"

"Easy, Wali." Master Omar warned softly.

"Why does it matter to you if we had a look at your fancy carriage? We did not take anything. We did not do anything. We're not ask anything from you." Asad was furious and I had never seen him like this. I hurried towards him to calm him down. I had no idea what was happening to him.

"You know who I am, boy, and I do not trust you!"

"I do not know who you are, Master!" Asad threw his hands in the air and for a second I thought he would hit Master Wali. Apparently, Master Omar thought the same because he took a step forward, "Honestly, I do not care either. Coming here was a mistake, I got carried off and it will not happen again."
