Chapter 16: I know

Three days later
Lilith was walking back and fourth in the coffee shop? Dan just watched and waited.
The phone rang
"Hello" Lilith said as she picked it up and answered it "Its ready, ok good thank you"
"Dan we can go pick up your mask now!"

Dan sat on his bed, holding his new mask in his hands. Was he really going to kill someone, had he really thought this through. He gripped it tightly, Dan had to do it for Jackie, for Mari.
Since Phil was at work that night Dan was able to sneak out of the house with out hearing the questions
"Where you going?'
"What's that in your hand?"
Dan was still mad at Phil but he also felt awful for yelling at him because after all Phil was still his best friend. Dan dawned his mask and put his hood up as he left the apartment to meet up with Lilith.
He walked to the park until he saw Lilith wearing a pink bunny mask
"Really?' Dan asked
Lilith just ignored him and shushed him loudly
"Do you smell that?"
Dan sniffed the air "Its Mr.Radar, he's close by"
Lilith nodded but when she looked up she was shocked to see.. Phil standing on the bridge.
"Dan look!" She said pointing
Dan looked up and was shocked
"You get Phil, I'll get Mr.Radar!" She said as she started walking away
"But wait!" He yelled looking back at Lilith
"No butts Dan, if you want me to deal with Phil, I will end up killing him!'
She started to run, Dan looked up at Phil

Dan got up on the bridge and just looked at Phil with a glare
"Hey you!" Phil yelled as he started to walk over with his suitcase, obviously a kagune he or Mr.Radar stole
Dan pulled down his hood and balled his hands into fists
"Stay right where you are ghoul and prepare to die!" He yelled running up to Dan, he tried to punch with full force but Dan was able to dodge it.
Since Dan's mask covered his left eye and showed his right he was able to flash his red ghoul eye. Dan was able to fight back until he started to get angrier and angrier with Phil, with himself. He fell to his knees and started dry heaving.
His back hurt
He felt something pop from his back and surround him, it was his kagune.
Dan was ready to fight and kill Phil until he looked into his eyes and remembered.

(Flashback)
Little 10 year old Philip was sitting on his front porch crying his eyes out. Dan, who was the same age as him came up to him and sat down beside him.
"Are you ok?" Dan asked
Phil sniffed, wiping his eyes with his sleeve
"My mommy died" he said sobbing
Dan sighed "I know how you feel, both of my parents are gone"
Phil looked at Dan and the stood up
"I'm going to find a way to kill all the ghouls and find the one who killed my mom!"
Dan stood up also and nodded "Hey let's do it!" He yelled
"I'm Dan by the way"
"I'm Phil"
(Flashback over)

Dan couldn't do it, he couldn't hurt Phil, his best friend for ever. Dan tried to make sure he didn't get up, but when he looked up he saw Phil with an evil snarl on his face.
"Wait!" Dan yelled
Phil stopped
"You can't do this!'
Phil shook his head "An why not, your a dirty disgusting ghoul and it's my job to kill all of you"
Dan began to cry "I know about your mom"
Phil got wide eyed as he put down his kagune and grabbed a pistol from his jacket.
"How do you know about my mom, were you the one who killed her!" He yelled pointing the gun to Dan's head
Dan laughed upsettingly "No, but all I know is she wouldn't want you doing this'
Phil's hand began to shake "You...you don't know that"
"I can't control myself for much longer, you've got to run Phil!" Dan yelled
Phil shook as he took the gun away
"Run!"
Phil grabbed his briefcase and began to run as fast as his legs could take him. Dan got up and ran the other direction, he found a lake and started to hyperventilate. Then he heard a noise and with out warning he swung himself around and plunged his kagune right into the heart of some innocent person, a smile across his face like he was a mad man. He looked up to she that it was
Charlie.
"Wow nice to see you again Danny!' He laughed

Phil stopped running and started looking around and calling for his boss. He finally found him laying on the ground, blood all around him. Phil ran up, put his briefcase down and held Mr.Radar in his arms. He looked up and saw a girl with a bunny mask, she had blood all over her and behind her was a tiny girl with a sundress on.
"I'm gonna get you all, and when I'm done with you, you'll be sorry, you'll all be sorry!"
Then just like that the two girls were gone, leaving Phil to the dead body and his thoughts
"Who was that ghoul?"
"How did it know about my mom?"
"Why didn't it try to kill me"
