Kill Me With Love (Karma Akabane)

XXIII.Promise

The same night they became an official couple,
real lovers.. Karma walks her home.

The two lovers were holding hands in silence.
Silence that they both have gotten used to.
And every time someone breaks the silence,
..it is always an unforgettable conversation.

"Hey, Achlys." Karma suddenly spoke, calling her name.
His face is still slightly red from blushing uncontrollably.

"Yes, Karma?" With a shy smile, Achlys looks at him.

The streets at night was empty and only the two of them
was able to walk underneath the light of the crescent moon.

"This is funny. I thought I'm not the type who can fall
  crazy in love." He chuckled as he faced her and she silently
stares at him. "You.. really did arrest me." He smirked. "I
  surrender!" He says in a joking tone of voice as he throws up
his arms in the air, making her laugh.

"Yes, you are under arrest, Karma. Do you even know
  how happy I feel right now?" Achlys holds back her tears
of joy.

"Oi, oi, don't cry." Karma touches her shoulders.
"You're my first love, you should be honored."

"But you are my first too.." Achlys answers him with
a sweet giggle.

"W-What about that Gakushu..?" Karma looks away,
trying to hide his embarrassment. He still feels a little
jealous towards Gakushu.

"Gakushu was my fiance. An arranged marriage.
  We were childhood friends and I liked him as a
  kid but as time passed, I realized it was only
  admiration, nothing comparable to how I felt
  for you the moment I saw you." Achlys looks straight
into his eyes, telling him nothing but the truth.

"Arranged.. oh I see. That makes sense." Karma believes
in her without a second thought. "But it's obvious how he's
  still obsessed with you. I'll kill him when he tries something."
Karma laughs.
"You sure you love me? Or do you just see me as your hero?"

"Oh Karma." Achlys sighs lovingly and then goes on to kiss his
lips, silencing him. "..or do you want more?"

Karma covers his mouth as he took a step back.
"Are you challenging me??" 

The teasing went on as they proceeded to continue walking together.
When it was time to part ways, Karma faced her with a serious face,
making Achlys wonder.

"Karma?" She calls his name.

"I promise you.. I'll never leave you all alone." Thinking about the
past as he said those words, Karma gently took her hand and kissed it.

The night ends with the two new lovers promising their love to each other.
Will this happiness continue.. or will a storm interfere them?

Later on...

The time they went back to class, Kaede Kayano actually had an idea
about how to assassinate Korosensei and discusses it with the class.
As usual, Karma and Achlys are just silently listening at the back.

While everyone else was talking, they noticed how quiet the two was.
