It was your first day at your new school, your dad had just been 'promoted' which caused you and your mom to pack up and move across the state to a town called Beacon Hills. Your father told people that his job was hunting. What he told your family was that his job was hunting werewolves. 'It is not lying, it is simply avoiding people calling you crazy' he always said to his family. Fortunately, when you told your father that you didn't feel ready to handle a gun yet he believed that it was the truth, not that you didn't want to go into the family business of hunting. Your mom knew that you didn't want to hunt, and she would always back you up.

Since it was your first day, your cousin, Allison Argent, she had let you ride with her so she could show you around school. "You ready?" You asked as you headed into her room. She was standing in her mirror, checking she looked okay.

"Yeah, lets go!" Allison grabbed her bag and keys. "You look good today."

You smiled and followed her out the house. "I thought I'd attempt to make a good first impression and all." You laughed with a shrug of the shoulders.

"I think I'm gonna walk home. I'll see you later, okay?" You waved Allison off as she rolled up the window up. You decided to go for a walk through the woods to see if there was a trail for you do do your daily run.

A few hours later and you where far into the woods that it would take you an hour or so to get home. You wondered how there was so much wood area in such a small town.

"Are you okay?" A deep voice asked.

You spun around on your feet to see a tall man standing there. He had dark brown eyes and sculpted stubble along his jaw. He was model handsome, the kind that you could never get bored of. "Yeah." You nodded bluntly.

"Well why are you walking around the woods alone? It's dark and its dangerous." He took a step closer to you, you didn't know if he was doing this naturally or just trying to intimidate you. Either way, you was not going to move.

You squinted your eyes in realisation. The small things in this situation gave him away. "Okay. Just because I'm not a wolf like you, doesn't mean I can't handle myself." You scoffed.

He didn't move, he didn't flinch. His eyes didn't widen and he didn't look concerned. But you still knew. "What makes you think I'm a werewolf." The smirk on his face grew large, as if he knew he could prove you wrong.

"One, it's freezing out here and I need a coat to keep warm while you are in a thin shirt. Two, I need the flashlight on my phone to see and I'm still barley able to keep myself from tripping over while you are able to waltz through the woods like it's the middle of the day. That also means that you are an alpha."

His arms crossed over his chest and the smirk grew into a smile. "So your a hunter?"

"No, but my father is. Also, don't worry, I won't tell him about you." You smiled as he sent a grateful nod.

"Derek Hale."

"Y/N Y/L/N"

"Oh! Stay away from Derek. He's bad news." Allison warned you as you told her about the previous night.

"I know he is an alpha and I know my dad would kill me, but he was nice." You shrugged as Allison was still keeping her stern look on her face solid. "Look, it's not like I'm gonna see him again anyway."

"Okay! Just promise me that you won't see him again."

"I can't promise that Ally, I'm sorry."

As you where walking home from Allison's when a black Camero pulled up next to you, window rolled down. "Let me give you a ride home."

You turned to look at Derek and he was leaning over to speak out the window. "Sure." You smiled.

Now outside your house, no one was home luckily. You didn't want your dad to come out and kill Derek, literally. "So, you wanna come in? I may not have deer but I have pizza." You laughed, you even got a giggle out of him.

"You do know I don't eat deer, right?"

"You do know It was a joke, right?" He chuckled again and got out of the car to follow you inside. Once inside, you decided to grab the leftover pizza from the fridge from the two of you. "I hope you have good reflexes because if my dad gets home, your gonna have to shoot quicker then one of his guns." As you turned around with the pizza box on your hands, you bumped onto a chest that you didn't know was standing so close. "What are you doing?" You questioned.

He pulled up his hand and placed it on the side of your neck lightly. "Would you kill me if I kissed you right now?" He joked because your father was a hunter.

You decided to be your usual self and be sarcastic. "No, but my father would."

He wasted no time into making your lips work with his. He pulled you as close to his body as he could, he wanted to be close. One thing led to another and you both ended up in your bed.

After an amazing hour, you was both lay there cuddling and kissing. You both must have been caught up in the moment that you didn't hear the car pull up in the driveway, you didn't hear the front door get unlocked, you didn't hear the feet climbing up the step and you didn't hear your bedroom door open. "Y/N!"

You and Derek pulled apart, pulling up the covers to protects yourself. "Mom."

"If your father seen this! He is out there looking for him right now!" She pointed to Derek. "Not to mention he is older then you, he's not even in high school!" Your mom screeched as you both sat there is shock. Still naked and still not sure what to do. "I'm not going to tell him about this for your own sake, but you better get downstairs now!" The door slammed being her.

"I'm so sorry." You apologised as you pulled your shirt and pants on.

"No, don't apologise. Listen, you better go downstairs and talk to your mom. We don't have to do this again-"

You cut him off in shock. "What?" He just looked at you with a confused expression. "You don't want to do this again?"

"Yeah, of course I do. Just, maybe under different circumstances. Like, after we had been on a date." You nodded as he walked over to you and planted a gentle kiss on your lips before climbing out of your window.
