After drying my hair out I tossed my towel in the hamper by the door. I yawned and walked to the hallway, stretching before knocking on Krystal and Sulli's open door.
"May I come in?" I said before poking my head in. Sulli was already sleeping, her hair peeked through the top of her blanket. Krystal was sitting up in bed with her laptop on, probably on YouTube criticizing herself like she always is.
"Ugh. My legs are so awkward." her California accent slipped out and I laughed.
See what I mean?
I smiled and walked to her before hopping on her bed and sitting myself next to her, taking the laptop from her and placing it on my lap instead. The video kept playing and it was a recent performance, where she was wearing shorts.
"I don't see awkward. I see cute." I put my index finger up to the screen and tickled her moving body, "coochiee coochiee cooo!" I said in a high pitched tone.
I looked over at her and she still wasn't smiling.
"What?" I lowered the volume.
"My legs are ugly and gross." she crossed her arms and her tone was sincere.
I paused the video and turned to her, "your legs are perfect."
She shook her head.
"Want to feel better?" I asked her with a smile. She nodded.
I pressed play on the video again and moved the cursor over to the bottom of the video to forward the performance till my first verse. "LOOK AT THAT HOT PIECE OF ASS." I said while pointing at me on the screen with a grin, and when I looked at her she was, in fact, smiling.
"That
a pretty hot piece of ass." she laughed and put her arm through my own, resting her head on my shoulder.
I smiled triumphantly, "right?!"
She nodded softly. I shut the laptop and placed it on her night stand, careful not to disturb her then put a hand in her hair.
"Why were you late today?" I asked curiously after letting her breathe.
She was silent before sitting up then she shook her head, "I told you I got spotted."
I shrugged, "where?"
She shrugged as well, "lunch and stuff."
"...with? You're freaking me out."
She sighed, "Taemin."
I pulled back and lowered an eyebrow, "why didn't you just say so?"
Now I was suspicious.
"I know you don't like him. He asked me on a lunch date so—"
I held up both hands to stop her, "wait. You said yes. To a date? With somebody else?"
She shook her head, "it's not what you're thinking."
"Then what was it?" I tried hard to keep my voice low so as to not disturb the still sleeping Sulli.
"He just wanted to talk." Krystal tucked a long strand of hair behind her ear.
"What about?" I crossed my arms and looked down at her.
She shrugged, "he said he needed to talk to me so we did."
I stood and put a hand on my hip, "about what." I asked again.
"Nothing! I handled it."
I sighed, "I don't have the time or patience to be lied to. I'm going to bed." I turned around and started walking.
