Lucy Heartfilia is 16 and living with her father, Jude. Her mother, Layla, died when she was 6 and misses her everyday. Jude is taking Layla's death the worst. He became a drunk and obsessed with work. He blocked Lucy out of his life. When he's mad he may tend to hit Lucy. Lucy takes the abuse terribly as a child until she finally had enough. He finally stopped the abuse but can be aggressive when angry. Lucy hides or leaves whenever he's angry. She's already planned to leave when she's 18 years old. Lucy ignores what's happening at home and focuses on friends and high school.
