Tris's POV

I set Chris down on a blanket, we need to find a cure for her. I hope she's ok. "Just fight it Chris. You'll be back soon. You're a fighter" I say whispering.

"Hey" Tobias says wrapping his arms around my waist. I turn around as I come face to face with him. I look into his eyes and whisper "Chris, what if she..." I say but he cuts me off.

"She will wake up, she's a fighter" he replies whispering in my ear. "You're right, it's fine, she's fine" I say pulling back. "What do we do now?" I ask looking around vigorously. "Hey, calm down Tris."

"We need to find a cure, find the person, we need to..." I say very quickly. "Tris, just stop and think" he says pulling me back. He grabs my hand and then yells "Split up, look for suspicious people."

"We will find whoever did this" Tobias reassures me. "I'll help them" I reply slipping away from Tobias's grasp. He holds me back, "What are u doing?" he asks. I look at him confused, "What do u mean what am I doing?" I ask him.

"You need to rest" he answers looking down at me. "No, Tobias but I can't..." I start to say but get cut off. "You can go on death adventures later but right now u need to stay here." I look at him in dismay, "No, I can't they're out there finding a cure for her and I can't stay here."

I run out of the door before he can answer, I can't let her die, she's  my best friend. They can't find a cure without me, I'm going whether Tobias likes it or not. I hate when he goes all soft on me, but I don't like his instructor mode either.

I run till I trip over something, I get up and hear Tobias behind me. "Tris, Tris!?" I hear him yell, I crouch down hoping he won't see me. I hear footsteps and whispers and clanking, I hear someone falling. "Tris, why are u on the floor?" Tobias asks.

"I want to help Chris, she's hurt and I need to help them too" I explain. "I know Tris but I don't want u getting hurt" Tobias argues. "I can handle myself, I don't need my boyfriend helping me" I shoot back.

I run into the dark but run into someone. "Tris?" I hear the person say then realize it's Uriah. "Uriah?" I ask in the dark while standing up. "Sorry" I say to Uriah as he stands up as he looks at me. "What are u doing running out here?" he asks as I sigh.

"Trying to get away from Tobias" I say looking down. "Why?" Uriah asks with concern in his voice. "He's just so protective and doesn't want me to get hurt" I explain to him.

"Tris, Tobias loves u, he doesn't want u to die, he'd be crushed, you r his everything" Uriah answers. "I know but I can take care of myself" I say rolling my eyes. "Come on Tris, we live in a world of action, let him protect u once in a while."

"Ok, maybe you're right" I say looking into the darkness. "We're still trying to find the person who injected Christina." "Ok, I'll be back in a minute, u keep looking" I tell Uriah.

"I'm going to find Tobias" I say to Uriah as I walk away. "K bye, Trissy" Uriah tells after me. I walk back to the tent to find Tobias and hear noises. The lights flicker on and I look around and see water outside the windows.

I hear rushing of water and voices talking.
"Hello?" I say as it echoes, I hear scuffling and squeaking. "Tris?" I hear someone say as I turn around and come face to face with Tobias. "Hey, I thought u went out to find Christina's victim" he says.
"I know, I did but ran into Uriah and we talked."

He nods then I say "We live in a world of imperfections, action, adventure, sometimes u do have to protect me." Tobias looks at me then replies "Yes, sometimes I do, Tris I worry about u, you're my girlfriend, I love u" he answers.

"I love u too" I say pulling Tobias close. He comes closer so that are faces are an inch apart. He leans in and kisses me and I kiss back. He pulls back and says "The light turned back on" he tells me.

"I noticed" I reply as he looks down at me. "Who do u think did?" I ask looking around. I hear shouts and footsteps echoing as I turn around. "Hey, Tris, I think we found someone" Kristine yells to me as she runs.

She stops right in front of me then says "You both need to see this" she says pointing to a door across the room. "Since the lights turned back on we have a better location and sense of what we're doing" she explains.

Tobias runs to follow us, we stop in front of the door. "What about Chris, should someone watch her?" I ask before we go in. "She'll be fine" Will answers and I look at him surprised. "I'll go watch her" he says changing his answer.

I nod as he sprints back to the fort. "We need to find a way out of here" I say before we go in. "We will, but right now focus on Christina" Four answers as he grabs my hand. "Do u really have the audacity to go in there?" Kristine asks.

I nod then say "I thought u already went in there?" I ask as she nods. "I don't exactly want to go back in there" she says taking her hand off the knob. "I'll leave it up to u guys" she says stepping back, I'm confused.

"You know more about this room than anyone else right? Or did they go too?" I ask pointing to the gang. "Uriah went in, he didn't want to be pansycake? I think is what he said." Uriah looks down then says "You know me" he answers.

"With or without u, we're going in" I explain turning the door knob. "No, don't go in" Kristine interrupts as I roll my eyes. "Why not?" I ask crossing my arms getting mad. "You won't like what's in there" she replies.

"I don't care" I say turning back to the door. I turn the handle and push it open, I look around and gasp when I see...

Cliffhanger guys! Hey this chapter was harder to write for some reason. It just took more thinking! I don't really know why but it did. I hope u like it! I will be updating my other books soon too! Bye!
