CHAPTER 5

Jaime met with Ginny at the Quidditch field, it was the tryouts of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and since Ginny was the Captain, she was the one in charge of players. Jaime went to the tryouts not to join the team but for moral suport – moral suport for Ginny.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get good players this year!" Jaime said, trying to cheer up Ginny. After seeing the list and the people who were about to try out for the team, Ginny – well no words actually can say what happened to Ginny, let's just say that it involved McLaggen being sent to the Hospital Wing, petrified.

"Ginny, pull yourself together before you face them." Hermoine said, she was walking beside Ginny. Ginny groaned at the sight of the list, she really doesn't want the Gryffindor team to be the pity team of the year.

"I just don't want the team to be labled as the Pity Team of the year!" Ginny said in a shouting but hush tone.

"You'll not be named as that!" Jaime said.

"How do you know? Have you seen the list?" Ginny shoved the clipboard to Jaime and Hermoine. Jaime then started to read the list of names for the Chasers. Let's just say that Gryffindor won't be getting the House Cup this year...

"Uh... what a nice... list you have here... Ginny..." Jaime said, she gave Ginny back the clipboard, then whispered something to Hermoine, "We won't be winning the House Cup this year..."

Hermoine sigh a defeated sigh. Another year of Gryffindor losing... when will their losing streak break? Jaime and Hermoine went to the stands and sat with the other students that were going to watch the tryouts of Gryffindor, while Ginny went to where the new and old faces of the Quidditch team or would be Quiddtich team.

"I hope Ginny gets good players, I don't want Gryffindor to lose..." Hermoine said, "Especially against Ravenclaw..."

"Is it because of Oliver Travers?" Jaime asked.

"Yes! I just can't stand that – that git!" Hermoine was gripping her book a bit too tight. Jaime then laughed, "What happened to 'forgiveness' and 'get along with each other' or 'no rivalry with the other houses'?"

Hermoine just groaned and got out her book and started to read, not even paying attention to the tryouts of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Jaime really didn't watch the whole tryouts, after thirty minutes, she was just doing her homework for her Transfiguration essay. Tryouts ended an hour later, Hermoine and Jaime went down to the field to ask Ginny about who got in or if Gryffindor even had a chance on winning.

"So, does Gryffindor have a chance on winning?" Jaime asked.

"They're good – they're – they're – we're dead..." Ginny said.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you can figure something out with the lot you have." Hermoine said, "You have to Ginny." Hermoine grabbed Ginny by the shoulders.

"Come on," Ginny said, she was looking behind Hermoine. Hermoine and Jaime turned to where Ginny was staring at and frowned at the sight, it was the Slytherin team in their emerald green uniforms, "Let's go, I don't want to face them right now." Ginny took Jaime's hand and dragged her out of the field with Hermoine walked beside them.

Jaime, Ginny and Hermoine entered the Great Hall just in time for dinner. Jaime sat next to Seamus, who was already getting each of everything. Jaime was already half through her meal when the Slytherin Quidditch team came to the Great Hall, and from the looks of their faces, they have a decent set of players. Jaime saw Draco Malfoy with the bunch of Slytherins who entered the Great Hall late, he was accompanied by Theodore Nott (not surprised) and they sat down beside Zabini and Goyle.
