CHAPTER 16

"PARVATI!"

Eloise Midgen ran all the way to the Gryffindor common room, other students stared at her like she was a madman, but Eloise didn't care, she needs to tell Parvati on what she saw.
After arguing with the Fat Lady, Eloise was able to get inside the Gryffindor common room. Out of breath, Eloise finally found Parvati, she was sitting with Hermoine and Ginny. Eloise quikly went to Parvati.

"Parvati!"

"What is it?"

Eloise sat on the chair nearest to the group of Gryffindor girls, Parvati waited for Eloise to catch her breath, she looked like just ran a marathon.

"What is it, Eloise?" Parvati asked.

"Earlier, in Alchemy," Eloise took a breath, " Malfoy and Jaime they're close, like they're really close – Malfoy, he even helped her in the task – and only her! Do you think there is something going on with them?"

Parvati turned to Hermoine and Ginny, both of them were speechless at the moment. Hermoine suddenly spoke, "It's nothing-"

"Finnigan!" Ginny got up from her seat and hunted for Seamus. Hermoine sighed and followed Ginny, Parvati then followed after Hermoine, leaving Eloise in the common room. The other students were staring at Ginny as she hunted for Seamus, finally she found him. Seamus was sitting with Dean in the Great Hall, Ginny marched up to Seamus.

"What is it Ginny?" Seamus asked.

Before Ginny can even say a word, Hermoine placed a Muffliato spell around them to not let anyone hear what Ginny was about to say, she was sure it was about the bet they have with McLaggen.

"Listen, I don't care now what Jaime has with Malfoy, but I do care about the ten Galleons – ten Galleons!" Ginny said.

"Wait, what do you? What's going on?" Seamus asked.

"Eloise Midgen," Hermoine began, "She's in the same class as Jaime, which is Alchemy, and she saw Malfoy was really close to Jaime."

"As in real close." Parvati said.

"You don't care that your best friend is having a friendly relationship with Malfoy?" Seamus glared at Jaime, "This isn't just about the ten Galleons, it's about Jaime – Malfoy is unpredictable, he can always return to his foul self anytime soon."

"I'm not sure with that." Parvati said, "If you look closely, it's almost Christmas break and it's been so long and Malfoy's being really quiet."

"When's the next Hogsmeade trip?" Seamus asked.

"This weekend, after the Syltherin and Ravenclaw match. Why?" Dean asked.

"All I need is a day with Jaime – just a day." Seamus said.

"No!" Ginny said, "We were planning to spend the weekend Christmas shopping and at the Three Broomsticks – you already took Jaime the last time!"

"I can take her Christmas shopping!" Seamus said.

"If this is just a plan for you to have a date with Jaime, Seamus, I'm not in!" Ginny said.

"It's not!" Seamus said, "Look, do want to give McLaggen ten Galleons?" They shook their heads, "All we need is for McLaggen to see that there is nothing happening with Jaime and Malfoy." Seamus vomited mentally when he even thought about Jaime and Draco together.

"That's a bit impossible." Parvati said.

"Parvati's right." Dean said, "Everyone can see Jaime and Malfoy's closeness..."

"Even Eloise Midgen saw it – Malfoy's really close to Jaime now."

Seamus sighed, his then turned to Hermoine and begged for her help, "Please, just let me take Jaime this weekend." Ginny turned to Hermoine, who was glaring at Seamus and was in deep thought. "Hermoine?" Ginny asked.

"It's not up to me or Ginny – it's up to Jaime if she even accepts your invitation..." Hermoine said, she jinxed the Muffliato spell then left the group of Gryffindors with Ginny beside her.
