Aaron left the power armor in the garage, it looked in place there, like he had always had it.He walked back into the main station without it, it was a little to big to fit through the door.
Aphmau ran up to him and hugged him. He was out for longer than he had said and she had gotten really worried.
"Don't do that to me, I'm already worried every time you go out." She looked up at him, she was nervously laughing.
"I'm sorry, I lost track of time, I was having a little to much fun." He replied, caressing her cheek.
He had gotten in the habit of it really. Holding her, he felt like if he didn't she would just disappear. Slip through his fingers like sand. He had to make sure she was his reality.
Smiling, and taking her by the hand. He reached over and flicked the radio on, humming to the tune.
Aphmau recognized the tune as the one Aaron was singing in the garage before they...
Before we became lovers.
"May I have this dance?" He asked bowing, gunning stupidly.
Laurance and Garroth watched from the doorway. Unnoticed by the two.
"Yes, sir Falconclaw. You may." She giggled.
Chuckling, he grabbed he waist and then they were off, they were dancing... badly.
They kept stepping on each other's toes, and most of the time they were off rhythm.
Then Aaron tripped, and they both fell into the pile of blankets that was their bed.
The two in the doorway had to stifle a laugh, even they could dance better then that.
The music switched from slow to even slower, a very intimate song, that one cannot sing aloud without thinking of their lover.
Aaron and Aphmau were laughing till their ribs hurt, laying on the bed.
They were tangled up in each other, there faces inches apart. But they weren't blushing, they hadn't even noticed.
"Why can't we dance?" Aphmau asked, giggling.
"I don't know." He looked down at her, realizing the position they were in. And his ears went a little pink.
"If the guys could see you now." She shuffled his hair and giggled.
"They would think I was going to do something inappropriate to you." He took a long look into her eyes.
"Well, They would be wrong." She rolled her eyes and giggled again.
Aaron didn't meet her eyes when she said that. And he got even closer to her.
"No." He held her hands above her head, and pushed her down. He met her eyes.
"No, they wouldn't." He kissed her passionately, wrapping blankets around them both.
Aphmau was surprised at first but she relaxed into the kiss, kissing him back with just as much passion.
Aaron felt heat rise in his stomach, and his head cloud with lust. He started running his hands down to her waist. Then a bit lower.
He pulled back, he knew if he continued he could hurt her.
He was blushing hard, embarrassed that he had even considered doing that to her.
But so was Aphmau, she wasn't expecting that from him. She wanted to let him continue but she was also scared of what could happen.
"A-Aaron?" She stammered, blushing like mad and breathing really hard.
"Aphmau, do you know the difference between love and lust?" He asked her slowly.
"Y-yes." She replied softly, her mind whizzing like a bee.
"Do you know which I feel for you?" His voice got softer, but he wasn't getting any closer. In fact he was looking away from her.
The doorway was empty now, Garroth and Laurance were listening from the other side of the wall.
"Uh, yes, you've told me." She was blushing even harder if that was possible.
"Good..." He looked back upon her, his eyes wild with fear in what he was about to do.
"Do you t-trust me with you?" He shuffled so that she could move if she wanted to.
"Y-yes, I-I trust you." She shuffled so the she was right under him.
"I... Don't think I trust myself with you." He placed his forehead on hers and pressed himself on her.
"Maybe..." She curled her fingers in his hair, and their noses touch.
"T-that's not a bad thing..." He kissed her again, much more carefully and nervously. He was shaking, scared at what he was doing.
She pulled back and chuckled at his nervous gaze.
"Don't be so nervous around me, I'm nothing special..."
"You are to me." He chucked and held his hand on her side.
"We said we would take it slow..."
"We are, I'm not going to hurt you." He replied, and it was true, he knew what it looked like. But that wasn't his intention.
"I k-know. I'm just..." She stammered.
"Aphmau..." He said softly
"Y-Yes..."
"I'm not Ivan, I won't do anything unless you're okay with it." He caressed her cheek and kissed her on the forehead.
"I know, I just, don't know what to expect from you. One second your blushing and cute and the next your kissing me like it's the last thing you'll ever do, not that I mind but-"
He chuckled and slid off her, cutting her off.
"I'm not great at expressing my emotions, sometimes I'll just ignore them until I can't anymore, then I explode." He admitted, holding her hand.
"That's kinda cute, it shows me that you care." She replied, almost in a whisper. Her arms wrapping around his back.
"I care too much, my love." He nuzzled her neck and kissed it briefly.
"I know you do, my dear."
