He awoke in a green field, the grass swaying with the gentle wind. And blue birds sang in the trees.

He heard giggling, and looked up.

There, on a stump, was the girl he saw in his last delve. She was no longer pregnant. And a four year old girl was in front of her.

"Be careful dear, don't go to far." The woman said gently, her voice heavy and tired.

The little girl nodded. And went right through Aaron.

But the woman looked right at him, and smiled.

"She might not be able to see you, but I can."

He was taken aback, he pointed at himself and she nodded. He looked incredulously at her.

She laughed. And motioned to a stump next to her.

"Your in my memories young man, that's why I can see you." She explained to him, the field moving around them.

"I'm not a memory. I didn't-"

"Mean to come here? Ha, Yeah... we all say that." She looked at him with kind, aged eyes.

"I saw you when I broke off with my husband too, you looked very angry at what he said to me..." She scanned him, and Aaron felt a shiver go up his spine.

"Well, heh, I was talking to my wife, well, we were having an argument honestly. And I was sent there, you look a lot like my wife so, seeing you like that.... hurt me." He admitted, she was easy to open up to, a little too easy.

"You sound like a great husband to her, but I wonder. Why were you sent there?" She laughed and looked over to him.

"I don't know, one of my friends said I was a seer, but.... I'm not sure if one could do this." He said, mostly to himself.

"Only a very powerful one. You have much to learn young man." She laughed again, and the girl came back.

"Momma, who are you talking to?" The girl said, and it rang a bell in Aaron's head.

"Myself sweetie. Now go back to playing."

The girl nodded and started playing in the field again.

"Your... Aphmau's great grandmother!" The realization hit him like a ton of bricks.

"Well, I don't know who that is. But sure." She laughed and patted him in the shoulder.

"Sorry, I just remembered that." He looked down, embarrassed.

"No, it's fine. This is your first time exploring someone else's memories. So it's common to be surprised."  She took out a book from her bag and motioned for him to keep talking.

"So Aphmau, is that your wife?" She asked.

"Y-yes, like I said, you look a lot like her." He suddenly started to feel lighter than air, and he let the breeze hit him.

"Heh, so that's what you really look like. You look like a friend of mine." She looked at him, finally seeing the real him.

"What, I've looked the same since I got here." But he still felt free and light. Like a child.

"No, you were hiding something , but you let your mind take it, now, I can see what you see."

"And you see. An old woman talking nonsense." She looked at him, giving him a face that was unamused.
