Once more Cas sat down behind his desk and pulled his drawing towards him. He had left a space next to Gabriel just in case and he smirked. He pencilled in Sam with his hands on Gabe's shoulders.

"Anna!" Cas called his older sister who hadn't left her bed all day.

"Castiel What the hell?" Cas heard his sister groan from her room.

Cas decided she wasn't going to get out of bed voluntarily so went to wake her up.

"Anna. Can I borrow your coloured pencils?"

"You woke me up for that?" Anna buried her head in her pillow and pulled the duvets back over her head.

"Seriously? How late did you go to sleep last night?" Cas laughed and started rooting through Anna's desk drawers. "Gabe and Sam got together and you missed it."

Anna shot up in bed.

"What?! You are kidding right?"

Cas shook his head. He pulled the last drawer open and located Anna's pencils. Anna was frantically pulling on some clothes and Cas laughed as he left back to his own room.

Cas laid out the colours on his desk and set to work. He heard his phone buzz and he saw it light up with a text form Dean. He considered answering but he wanted to finish this thing first.

He started adding colours to the pencil people on his paper and slowly he saw them come alive. He loved drawing because he could create his own worlds and his own people and watch them come alive in his mind's eye. He added a bit of shading and detail and placed his pencil down. He smiled as he looked upon his drawing. His family. For the first time Cas felt like he belonged somewhere and it was a feeling he never wanted to lose again.

"Cas?" Cas heard Dean's voice from the other side of his door.

"It's open Dean." Cas greeted his boyfriend with a kiss.

"Are you OK Cas? I sent you, like, seven texts and you weren't responding. I was worried sick!"

Cas laughed. "Sorry! I was drawing and once I get in the zone I just... yeah."

"Well that is unacceptable." Dean smirked and tried to pick up his boyfriend. Cas shrieked and tried to push Dean off, laughing. The pair wrestled until they fell back on the bed.

"I'm sorry." Cas pouted. Dean's face was just inches from his own and slowly Dean closed the gap.

Dean's hand went up to Cas' hair and his other in the small of Cas' back. Cas hands moved to Dean's hips. Dean broke the kiss and placed a kiss on Cas' forehead.

"So let's see it."

Cas smiled and gave Dean a confused look.

"The drawing, dumbass." Dean laughed. Cas got up from under Dean and walked over to his desk. Dean peered over his shoulder.

"It's my family."

Dean picked up the drawing and smiled. He looked over the figures.

"Damn Cas you're good!" Cas blushed.

Dean handed the picture back to Cas who folded it and slipped it into his pocket.

"I just thought; family is a word for the people who you need most and trust the most and who won't give up on you. If that is true then why should it be a word saved saved for blood relatives?"

Dean gently kissed Cas and looked him in the eyes.

"Family don't end with blood, Cas."

"Alright you two that is very much enough!" The two boys turned around and watched as Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, Sam and Anna burst into the room and dragged them outside. Cas and Dean laughed.

"We are eating lunch down at the café and the last one there has to help Ellen clean up after!"

Everyone started running down the hill. Cas started sprinting down the hill after his siblings. He turned to see Dean next to him.

"Don't think I'll go easy on you Winchester." Cas smirked.

"Back at you!" The two boys laughed and ran on.

Family don't end with blood.

Cas smiled as he remembered Dean's words. He felt he had finally found his family.
