The First Day (Mission!)

"Waaaah!! I'm so nervous. I won't know anyone! Heck, why couldn't I have attended Nekoma?!?! Kenma I'm so fudging nervous!!!!" I yelled. It was finally December 9th, the first day of school. However, I was starting to feel really nervous. Kenma wasn't helping either.

"Y/N, why are you complaining to me? You know that I'm not good at giving advice." Kenma shot back, playing the new game 'Conquest of Fate' on his iPhone.

"Well yeah, but you're my close friend-"

"Y/N, don't you have to know someone for more than a week to become their close friend?" Kenma said rudely, interrupting me.

"Listen PUDDING HEAD. We are neighbors, partners in the cat training industry, and I know all about your deepest, darkest secrets!!!" Y/N looked at me triumphantly from the back seat. "Is say we're close friends!" Kenma sighed.

"You know, the more stuff we do together, the more you talk." Kenma retorted, absorbed in his game. I put my hands on my hips.

"You know, that's not a bad thing." Kenma had to agree with me.

"Okay, fine. I am very happy I have someone to talk to. Besides my friend Kuroo." Kenma admitted sheepishly. I blushed.

"Mhm, anytime, Kenma-senpai!" I replied cheerfully. (Kenma's mom, who was driving, had to blink back tears.)

Kenma has a friend...and he's talking in complete sentences! And NOT being shy! Hallelujah!

Kenma turned to face me from the front seat. "Don't worry. Everyone will want to be your friend. Just be yourself." I nodded and smiled.

"Thank you, Kenma-kun! I'll make sure to follow your advice!" At that moment, Kenma's mom announced that they had arrived at Karasuno High School. I confidently got out, eyes flashing.

"Wish me luck!!!" I ordered Kenma.

"Stay alive, Player 2. May the angels of Karasuno smile upon you." I flashed him a cheesy grin.

"Mission accepted! Bye Kenma!" With those final words, I walked towards the high school. Ready to complete my mission.
