Kenma's POV

"Kenma!" I heard Kuroo calling my name. I grabbed Y/N's hand and walked over to Kuroo.

"Hey Kuroo, meet Y/N. She's my new neighbor, remember? She's also one of my best friends." Kuroo looked at Y/N as if she wasn't good enough for him.

"Haven't you only known her for three weeks? I think you should get to know her for at least a month, Kenma." He told me. I looked at Kuroo suspiciously.

"Kuroo, you don't even know what she's like." I replied practically. Kuroo just shrugged.

"She seems immature. I mean, who yells out 'wassup' to their senpais? I think that you just feel sorry for her. She's alone with no friends whatsoever in Japan, and so you decided to be a good samaritan and be her friend. I applaud you, Kenma. I would've never helped someone like her." I glared at Kuroo, and glanced at Y/N. She had a look of hate in her eyes, and her fists were clenched. However, her eyes were beginning to redden. I felt so sorry for Y/N. I had told her that she would become great friends with Kuroo, but Kuroo was treating her like crap. I had to help her.

"You're jealous." I stated plainly. Kuroo blinked.

"WHAT?!" He said loudly. I just stared at him. Kuroo grabbed me by my shirt and lifted me up into the air. "Kenma I'm not-"

"WHOA!" I turned my head to the sound. There was our coach, chuckling merrily. He walked up to Kuroo, grinning. "Kuroo, my boy, go easy on Y/N. We all know that you've been Kenma's only best friend for a long time, but allowing Kenma to have other friends wouldn't be a bad thing either!" He walked over to Y/N, who looked stunned and a little scared. "Welcome to Nekoma, Y/N. It's nice to meet you." Y/N brightened immediately.

"It's nice to meet you too! Kenma has told me great things about you, and Kuroo as well." She shot a murderous look at Kuroo. If looks could kill, Kuroo would have been one hit KO'd. Kuroo shot a glare at her as well, and the two held that look, daring each other to look away. I sighed.

"Y/N, Kuroo, stop acting like little kids." I told them monotonously. Y/N sighed, but nodded and looked away. Kuroo smirked, and then walked over to Yaku and our new teammate, Lev. Coach Nekomata laughed and clapped his hands.

"Let's start practice! Y/N, you can be my assistant for today." She smiled and gave him a thumbs up, but I could tell that it would be a long practice.
