“Hey, wake up.” Ron’s deep voice woke her up from her deep slumber.

“Hey!” He shouted once more when Hermione took time to wake herself up.

“I’m awake!” She grunted.

“Good. The wolfsbane potion won’t last for this week.” He demanded and left the room.

She quickly gathered herself and took a bath. When he came down, Ron wasn’t there so she reckon he already left.

As she prepared the cauldron and ingredients for the said potion, her thoughts were drifted on what happened at the ball. Actually, the thought rarely left her mind.

“Hermione, I want pumpkin juice.” Ginny demanded that night.

“There’s none available, Ginny.” She replied as she looks around the food area.

“Please, Hermione? I really want it.”

“Fine. There must be one in the kitchens. But I’m only doing this because of your pregnancy.” She sighed.

“Well, you can call the house elves so that you don’t have to go to the kitchen.”

“No! They’re busy and besides, if you can go to them, why call them here?” She said and stood up.

Ginny smiled and said, “It’s SPEW all over again.”

She smiled back at her and went towards the kitchens.

She tickled the pear in the portrait and she was able to pass through. It was like the last time she went in there. Full of house elves preparing food for the celebration above. The tables are arranged exactly like the tables above. After looking around, she went near a house elf. And a smile crept upon her face as she saw that they were all wearing decent clothes.

“Hi, I’m Hermione Granger.” She greeted the house elf. It has been a habit of her to introduce herself as a Granger. Not a Weasley.

“I’m Kary miss. Kary is so glad to finally meet the great Hermione Granger.”

“Kary, can you please give me a pumpkin juice?” She asked nicely.

“Kary would be glad to serve you Miss Granger.” The elf then left her to get the pumpkin juice.

“I thought you’re a weasel now, Granger.” She turned around to find the owner of the familiar voice and finally she spotted him in the corner seating in a chair with an apple on his hand.

“I-I didn’t know… you were here.” She uttered. She can feel her heart beat’s getting slower and slower by the minute.

“I didn’t know that you were unhappy with your marriage.” He replied and took a bite on his precious apple.

“I-I’m not un-unhappy.” She defended herself but he seems to not paying attention to what she was saying.

“I’m not surprised that you’re here in the kitchen. Hiding and stuff.” He continued.

“I’m not hiding here I’m-“ She tried to reasoned out but was quickly cut off.

“And of course, you’re depressed because you choose to marry that Weasel. Never liked him.” He added.

And for one moment she forgot that this is the man she loves, the man she dreamed of every night, and the man he left.

But it was only for a moment.

“Then why are you here?!? Maybe because of all the things you said!” She shouted at him and his eyes widened in surprised.

“Oh, got a bad temper, I see. Well, goodbye Weasley. The kitchen is all yours.” He left a little angry leaving Hermione breathless.
