Chapter 3: Legacy of Power

Evelyn

It has been a week since I became a Ranger. I still don't want Dad or my friends know my true identity. It felt weird that knowing I'm a Power Ranger, things wouldn't be the same again.

Connor came up to me, "Hey, Eve. Are you going to do something this afternoon?"

I said, "I um, don't have any plans, why?"

"Well, I know that I haven't been hanging out with you lately and I felt bad." He explains.

He looks blushing on his face, I tried not to laugh.

"Are you trying to ask me out?" I asked him.

"As a friend!" He stutters.

I laughed at his response but then we were interrupted by a beeping sound.

"I have to go." He said.

"Oh, ok. We can hang out later, I guess."

Connor

I hate to lie to Evelyn, but I knew it was the only way to find Dr. O.

I head back to the lab where I met up with Kira and Ethan.

"Ok, this is so weird." I said.

"Yeah, it totally is. Dr. O didn't arrived for my gig or at school. Something is wrong." Kira said.

Ethan said, "I guess it's about time we discover what Eve's Dad been up to."

We head to the computer screen and Ethan hack it.

"Ok, I'm in. " He said.

"Yeah, but what?" I asked.

{Shows the Power Ranger Video}

Ethan stops it.

"Uh, why you stop?" Kira asks.

"I'm freaking out." Ethan said, still in shock mode.

"Our Teacher is a Power Ranger Legend."

Then our friend, Haley appears.

"Yeah. He is." She said.

"Haley? You knew who we are?"

"Yeah, and who do you think helped Tommy build the Zords in the first place?"

We found him, and with total surprise, we have him as our newest, but oldest member of our Ranger team. The Black Ranger.

"What a day, New Zords, New Ranger. Well, sort of new." Ethan summarize our day.

"Oh, man. We still haven't figure out about that Violet Ranger." I groaned.

I see Evelyn escaping from us. I followed her.

"Eve?" I asked.

"Stay away!" She said, groaning.

Evelyn

The voice that came to me when I was battling Kira is back.

"You will do my bidding."  The voice said.

"Stay Away!" I groaned.

Connor was watching. Oh, no.

"Eve, what's wrong?" He asks me.

Without hesitating, I attacked him, even though I didn't want to.

"You are mine to control."  The voice said.

Connor yells, "Eve, stop! It's me, Connor!"

I couldn't stop of what I was doing and I knocked him out.

I gasp, "What I done?"

"You did what you were supposed to do, my dear."

"Not like this! I don't care who you are, Get out of my head!" I yelled.

"I am Fossilador."  He responds.

I ran from Connor Knight, my crush.

Ethan

I saw Connor unconious.

"Connor!" I yelled.

I ran towards him and shake him up.

"Connor, wake up, man." I said.

He groans and rubs his head.

"Dude, what happen to you?" I asked.

"Ethan, you will not believe me if I tell you." He replies.

"Dude, we're Power Rangers, remember? It's nothing weirder than that." I said sarcastically.

"Well...." He said.

He told me of Evelyn's strange behavior and the sudden attack.

"Should we tell Dr. O and Kira about this?" I asked.

"Not yet. We still have to find Evelyn ourselves and ask her about it."

"You seemed concerned about her." I smirk.

"Come on, dude. I am concerned about her as a friend." He said.

I said, "Sure, Connor. It sounds like you like her more as a friend."

We left, wondering why Evelyn acted like that.
