Eventually the torture ended. Eventually my pain ceased. It was weird at first, I almost felt like I was missing something, since it had been such a prominent feeling.
When Snoke gave up, his hologram fading as he cursed me under his breath, swearing to be back, not admitting defeat, I passed out on the floor where I lie. Too tired to even move, I couldn't bear trying to get up to find an escape route. My eyelids shut firmly, I tapped into the force, no longer caring if it caused lightning like last time. I was hoping to see my uncle again, though at that point I was beginning to doubt if he had really been there, or just an image of my imagination. Snoke had probably pushed my mind to the limit, causing me to see my mentor. I wish he'd really been there. I wanted him badly. I wanted my parents too.
My parents. I'd spoken to them so horribly the last time I'd seen them. What if Snoke had me killed, and their last memory of me was acting like a brat? I had to see them again.
"Lucinda," a voice spoke through the force. I knew it well, a faint smile creeping on my face as I opened my eyes to see Master Obi Wan sat in front of me. He looked younger than the last time I'd seen him, a lot younger. He was handsome, very handsome, as weird as that was to say.
"Hello there," I muttered sarcastically, hough I was too drained to try and be upbeat. "The force surrounds this place with darkness, they'll sense your presence here," I stated bluntly, beginning to sit up slightly.
"I know, but I must speak to you," he reasoned.
"Master... Obi Wan, I don't know if I'm strong enough to resist him if he does that again," I admitted, shaking slightly, like I was having a panic attack, my stomach turning at the memory of the torture. "I-I'm not strong enough. I'd rather he kill me,"
"Listen to me," he said firmly. "You're strong enough to summon me even after all you've just been though. You resisted him,"
"Because my Uncle told me to!" I argued back, feeling my cheeks flush red.
"No, Lucinda, the force inside you appeared that way to you as it knew he was someone you'd listen to," he explained gently. I took in a deep breath, crossing my legs like I was meditating. "Snoke will not hurt you again, I know it, but if he does, well, you are strong enough to hold your ground, and you hold the high ground in this situation. You are the strongest Jedi living, stronger than I could have ever hoped to be,"
"The incident in the forest... I fear I'm already going..." I daren't say the word 'dark'. Even saying it scared me.
"You're right, no Jedi has ever done that before," he nodded, my head falling into my hands. "You must trust in yourself, and in the force. The force gave you this power for a reason, and I know why,"
"Well I don't," I rolled my eyes, reminding myself of my father.
"It is because you are strong enough to control it!" He exclaimed, like it excited him. "It is a power of the Sith, the weak force users. You do have connections to the dark side, and they will play a large part in your future, but you must trust in your instincts, and trust in the force. Do you understand?"
"Yes," I nodded quickly, blinking away tears I didn't know we're forming.
"May the force be with you," he said finally, offering me a last gentle smile before he disappeared before my eyes.
Once he was gone, I got shakily to my feet, holding my hands out to steady my balance. My head was still pounding, but after talking to Obi Wan, I was beginning to feel slightly better, a little less afraid, though I still didn't fully understand. I limped towards the blast door, looking over the controls. I'd lost my blaster and lightsaber back with the Resistance, so I was weaponless, but not defenceless; I knew how to fight with my hands, and I had the force.
