-Time Skip 6 months-

Rey's POV
"See yeah later, heading to work!" I call out to Finn.

"See you there!" He calls back. "Oh wait!"

I stop in the doorway, as he runs past me to the kitchen.

He's comes over with a cup holder with smoothies on it. "Here you go."

"What? When did you?"

"I got them this morning." He chimes in. "That's why I took so long to get the mail." He smiles. "Hide them in the fridge behind the leftovers."

"Thank you." I pull him in with my free arm to hug him.

"No problem, but this one is mine." He grabs one, then points out. "Here is yours, Ben's, and Leia's."

"I'll let them know."

"Go before you're late. I got the door."

I carry the drinks down the stairs and the short walk to work.

I walk through the door and smile at Grace. "Hey, how's your day going?"

"Great! People are tipping nicely today."

"Always good to hear." I smile and walk past her.

I enter the back employee area and see Leia writing and eating pizza.

"What no drink?" I ask and place her smoothie down next to her plate.

"Oh thank you dear." She smiles.

"Thank Finn." I inform her.

"I'll make sure I do." Ben says, as he grabs his.

I laugh and shake my head. "Cheers." I lift my glass.

"To what?" Ben asks.

"To Leia's unbirthday!" I shout with glee.

Leia laughs. "But it's your unbirthday too."

"And mine!" Ben chuckles.

"Well we only care about Leia's unbirthday today because I said so. That's how adult logic works right?" I say.

"Exactly." Leia raises her smoothie and we join in.

I work along with Grace until Johanna comes to take her place and business slows down. At 8 o'clock Finn comes in for his shift, then at 10 o'clock I clock out.

"See you later." I tell Johanna. I head back towards the kitchen. "Can I get a small meat lovers pizza to go? Thanks." I call out to Gilbert our new cook.

"No problem Rey." He calls back.

"Make it a large." I hear someone call out.

"You got it boss." Gilbert says and I now know it's Ben.

I walk back to the employee locker room and grab my jacket and purse. I walk to Ben's office and find him locking his desk draw.

"Almost ready?" I ask.

"Yup." He puts his keys away and walks over to me. He kisses my lips and then my forehead.

I giggle and wrap my arms around his waist.

"I'm so lucky to have you." He says and brushes a strand of hair from my face.

I look up at him and rise on my toes and give him a kiss. He leans down and my free hand plays with his hair. I slightly pull on his hair and he grabs my hips and pushes me into the door frame.

He begins kissing my neck and I bite my lip.

The walkie talkie on his desk comes alive. "Would you two grab your pizza and go home? I won't be back for another 2 hours, so get it out of your system." Finn says.

Ben looks at the security camera and gives a little salute. I smile and roll my eyes. "Night Finn." I tell the camera.

"Night Rey." He replies through the walkie talkie.

Ben closes his office door and locks it. I head to the kitchen and grab the pizza box from Gilbert.

Ben's POV
I open the door for Rey and we begin the walk to her place.

I hear my cell ding for a new text message.

F: What was in the tiny box you locked in your desk?

B: What is with you spying?

F: Security is my job.

B: Well I was hoping to do this in person, but Finn. May I have your blessing to marry Rey?

F: You're going to propose?!

"Who's that?" Rey asks.

"Oh it's Finn."

"What does he want? Something happen?"

"Just asking a quick question about unlimited topping."

Rey laughs and shakes her head.

We enter the building and make our way up the stairs.

She hands me the pizza. "I don't know why you never let me carry it."

"Because you always eat some on the way." She places her key in the door.

I open up the pizza box.

"Ben!"

"I'm just kidding." I laugh and my phone dings again.

We enter and I place the pizza down on the counter while Rey grabs plates.

F: Yes, you have my blessing!

B: Thank you! You'll be my best man right?

F: Yes!

B: Good, because Hux was my second choice.

Rey slides a plate with pizza on it to me.

"Thanks." I smile at her.

She smiles. "I'll be right back." She heads into her bedroom.

I start a new text message to my mom.

B: Hey Mom

M: Hello!

B: I'm going to propose to Rey.

M: Is she pregnant?!

B: Wait? No. Why?

M: You've only been with her for 6 months!

B: We practically live together and I want to marry her.

M: Are you sure it's wise? You haven't even known her a year

B: Dad wanted me to marry her, how bad could she be?

My phone rings.

"Hello?" I anwser.

"Your father never approved of any of your girlfriends and you started dating after his passing." She tells me.

"He encouraged me to ask her out."

"He probably advised you to stay away from her." She says rather angry.

"He wanted me to wife her up Mom."

The line goes quiet, then I hear her sigh and softly chuckle. "That sounds like your father... Give me a moment."

I hear shuffling around and the sound of papers moving.

There's a tear and another soft chuckle.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Your father was always writing things down for me to find and I recently found them in his desk. He wrote letters to me to find after his passing." She pauses. "There's one labelled 'Open Upon Ben Wanting to Marry'. It says 'It better be Rey.'"

I laugh along with her.

"Do it son. Your father and I would love to welcome her into this family."
