Lightning was the power plant of Mute City. It had large Lightning towers that attracted the weather and converted it to power for the city. This power plant was located about thirty minutes outside of Mute City, that is, if you are driving normally. If you are a speed demon, it'll be fifteen. Right now, there was just thunder booms, nothing special happening. The suddenly, a young girl busted out of one station. She looked like she was in danger. She was running away from evil Takorians. Even though Octoman was arrested, there were still some criminals out there. Lily Flyer had been assigned a mission, and she was determined to do it. She now leaped over a blockade and hid. She was trained to polish her quick thinking skills, but she always needed a breather to use them. Luckily, she didn't embark on this mission alone. "I thought you would try and reason with them first," a voice to her right said. Lily turned to see her best friend, Ace Winters, an F-Zero hero. "I tried," Lily shrugged. "But that's what I get for trying to reason with Oswald." Ace laughed, "This did not go according to plan," he said.

"What do we do now?" Lily Flyer asked out loud. She already had a plan, but she wanted Ace's leadership this time. One of the things she was trying to learn was teamwork, and working with Ace could teach her that. "We run," Ace said. "We make a dash for the machines." Lily nodded. "I'll cover you," she said. Ace sprinted away, with Lily Flyer behind him shooting behind her. If things went according to plan, the Green Amazone and the Bunny Flash would be in their hiding places. "There they are!" Lily shouted. There were their machines, in perfect shape, not a scratch. The teens hopped in their machines and hopped in them. After starting their engines, Ace Winters led the charge. The Takorians realized the teens were fleeing. They struck back Using the control center of the station, they hit the emergency shutdown switch. The doors began to lock down, which made it harder for the two. They would have to outrun the escape sequence. They managed to get past the first five doors, but after that it got tricky. "We're not going to make it!" Lily exclaimed.

They might not have, but help came. An all-too-familiar blue machine raced in front of them. It was the Blue Falcon. "CAPTAIN FALCON!" Ace exclaimed. "Hey kids!" Captain Falcon said. "Follow me! I'll lead you out!" To Ace's surprise, he led them down a secret route that he and Lily never saw. It was much safer. They skidded to a stop once they got outside. "What about the Takorians?" Lily asked. "Jody gave us orders to bring them in!" Captain Falcon just smiled and pointed his finger behind them. There were the Takorians. Their machines were wrecked and worn out as they barely escaped. They set the evacuation, but they also doomed themselves. "Awesome!" Ace said. "Do you want to help us take these guys back to Federation headquarters? I'm sure Jody will give you some credit!" "Of course," Captain Falcon replied.
