The Talon attack had left Overwatch in a sorry state of affairs. The control centre was a shambles having been affected most by the hack. Reaper had escaped custody and managed to severely wound the mysterious Soldier 76 who we now know to be Jack Morrison, that will require some definite questioning when he has recovered. But finally and worst of all with Reaper's escape, Talon now knew the location of the Overwatch HQ. All of the shadow protocols over the last few months for the recall may have been for nothing now. Security would have to be tightened that was for sure but with the current state of the place, Overwatch was vulnerable right now, there was no question of that.

You sat, head in hand, staring blankly at a computer screen within the wreckage of the control centre. It had been a few hours since the attack now and the sun was setting over the scene of destruction. You couldn't help but think that this was your fault, as soon as you'd captured Reaper within a few days Talon mysteriously knows the base location and attacks. In your head you know that Reaper must have activated some sort of transponder, what you thought was a heroic act may have simply been a feint. Reaper probably wanted you to catch him. You let out a long sigh as the decryption of the captured files continued in front of you.

"What you up to luv?" Lena asked from over your shoulder, causing you to shudder in fright.

"Oh hey Lena. I'm just trying to decrypt the few files I managed to steal from our hacker, by the looks of it I'm not going to get very far. This is some of the highest level security that I've ever seen and these were just their more accessible files. *Sigh*, you don't think this is our fault do you? I mean for bringing in Reaper?" you asked, causing an oddly grim look to appear on her face.

"I guess he probably did mean for us to capture him, but it's not a total loss luv. I mean you got those files right?"

"Yeah, in exchange for half of the base blowing up and its location being revealed. And, to top it all off, I don't even know if I'll be able to access them. This isn't looking good"

"Well staring at that screen won't help, come on luv it's getting dark. Let's get some sleep and think on it in the morning, security systems are back online and I doubt Talon would risk a second attack so soon"

"*Sigh* I guess you're right, after you" you reply, pulling yourself out of the uncomfortable chair and following Lena.

During the conflict you hadn't quite realised the scale of the fight and the damage that was caused as a consequence. There didn't seem to be a single corridor that wasn't crippled or cover in gunshots and plasma burns. You were fortunate that the room the two of you shared had only suffered minor damage, with the odd item being knocked from the shelves by a distant explosion. As you entered the room, you leapt on the leather sofa and let out a long sigh of relief. It was good to be back after that hospital stretcher.

"You know Winston's called a meeting tomorrow morning luv? Every agent and soldier will have to attend, or at least those who aren't in Mercy's care right now" Lena stated, removing her chronal accelerator and placing it on a special shelf. You'd discovered that fortunately due to some upgrades courtesy of Winston, she didn't have to wear it all of the time now and could go a few hours at a time without having it on.

"You reckon we'll have to go underground?" you asked.

"I don't really know luv, we were in some tough scrapes back in the day but never quite this bad. We'll make it work"

"Hm, well after hours of staring at that damn screen I'm afraid I'm knackered. I'm going to try and catch some kip". You slowly began to close your eyes and relax your muscles but didn't actually hear Lena walk away. You opened your eyes to find her standing there looking rather uncomfortable, rubbing her arm a little.
