I leant against the white table as everyone shouted and the banging of the weapons against metal to try and leave didn't help. My eyes felt heavy as the sounds around me slowly got quieter. Carol was crying as I heard VI saying the air will be set on fire.
"Open the damn door!" I heard Daryl shout as he threw his empty glass bottle at the metal door as I had managed to stand up but not for long before I fell back down as everyone looked at me, Shane rushed to my side as he started asking if I was okay but I just nodded as he stood up and ran to grab a shotgun and pointed it to Jenners head but ended up shooting it in all directions.
Rick started talking again but I couldn't listen, my concentration was on me trying to stay awake and not getting killed. The door suddenly opened as everyone rushed out but there was no way I was able to stand, never mind run out of the building in time before the explosion. I stayed leaning against the table as I heard jacqueline saying she was staying and Andrea didn't move from her spot "I'm staying too" she said
"Andrea no" dale told her as he looked back at the group waiting for him at the door "just go" he told them as they started running down the hall.
I saw that Daryl had stopped running and scanned the group quickly. "Where's Aura?" He shouted but no one stopped to listen. His face expression changed into fear as he turned around and ran back into the big room before he spotted me. "Aura come on. We gotta go" he told me as I shook my head
"I can't" I told him as he moved his crossbow further up his arm and squatted next to me and put his arms under my legs and behind my back and pulled me up, carrying me to the door.
He stopped to look back at Dale who was talking to Andrea as he started to run down the hall with me still in his arms. "We'll make it Aura, don't worry" he said as he ran up the stairs. I closed my eyes as we came into the room where we first came in
"Get down!" Rick said as Daryl quickly fell to the floor and covered me with his body as I heard a grenade explode
"You okay?" He asked me as he pulled away from my body and started to pick me up again. I nodded as he started to run to the window and he jumped out it and rushed to the car with the rest of the group.
He opened the passenger door and placed on the seat before getting into the drovers side himself. "Wait" I told him, placing a hand on his arm before he could start the engine. Andrea and Dale came put of the building as they ran to the cars as fast as they could.
"Get down!" I could hear everyone shout as the building exploded. Daryl used his body to sheld me from the explosion again as I gripped onto his shirt. He got off me and smiled
"We made it" I said as I launched myself to him and wrapped my arms around his neck as I hugged him. I buried my face in or his shoulder as it took him a couple of seconds to return the hug and placed his arms around my waist "we made it"
